Apologizing.
08/13/11 4:04 PM

I would have put this in the 'correct' topic...if I could find the subject...but...anyway...This apology goes out to the Hubmiester...he was trying to be helpful and explain something to another member here about the 'valve'(cam) cover.I interfered and said 'there are 8 bolts holding that cover on'...shoulda got my facts straight before I opened my big yap thinking I 'was smarter than'.Sorry Hub....my apologies.

For what? I get things wrong too. If you said 8 quarts of oil go in the bike, then yeah, but 2 imaginary bolts that leak in your world, you, you washer hound!

You had me thinking that was the reason my head cover was leaking. Naw lol don't sweat it blue. As long as no one gets to steamed up it's all just fun. Thanks for all of your advice over the years as well. We all learn what we can from everyone and roll them up into our own practices. That way we pay it forward when the chance comes and the knowledge is reborn in some one elses' mind.

Bad Blue. Will give ya credit for apologizing. So many would not. As for screwing up, Shame Shame. LOL I have to add thanks for the information I have read over the years from you. And so many others. Thanks for being human too. Some of ya know so much about the '14, us mere mortals are humbled.

Thanks for the 'kudos' on helping. That's all I'm ever trying to do....butting into someone elses
thread ISN'T what I want to be doing...ever.Ride safe.14's rock baby!AND,the riders...they're what make this whole deal so awesome!!!Thanks again all for making this THE best 14 Forum out there!

I hate to say it again...but the Harley riders are gettin killed here this new season.Geez..IDK what it is...the bike?Pushing too hard?Forgetting how to 'steer'?IDK.Three or four died just this last week....awful...just awful.Somehow they're 'losing control' of their bikes.IDK what's going on with them.Something.It's gettin em killed whatever it is.I rarely see one either two up or single that is cruising above 70...rarely.So how do you 'lose control' of an 800 lb bike that's pretty solid at that speed?

Went by a crash just yesterday....terrible.Someone from that bike had to be airlifted out.I know the curve very well. It's smooth and open, clear vision all the way to and from the curve.Kind of a lazy 's'...but much bigger.Whoever it was, they were pulling a trailer. This was a Goldwing. You guys that pull trailers...for God sake,be careful. If that trailer skips out on a curve, yer rear tire's gonna go with it.PLEASE be careful!

First, there are more guys on H-D than you see others riding a different brands, right? Around here, it's a huge ratio, I see more H-D than any other bike. That is one stat. Was the GL on tour out of town, out of state kind of bit the guy at speed with that sweeper you know so well? Kind of sucked him in, didn't it. Stat number two.

For every throttle angle there is a [human] error about to exithe seat. And, we don't need guys like you coming into threads about being safe and all that. We are bike dealers. WOThe fuck makes you think I want these parts to lay dormant on my shelf is crash baby, crash!

IDK, this is a dealer's meeting thread! What are you doing here? We were just discussing how things slowed and now I have to order some parts so the customer can go back riding or sell them a new bike. Who is this blue I am talking to in the face? Someone check his cry dent shall I call security?

The numbers here are the other way round , more Japs than HD ,more japs casualties.

With riders around here its, speed and road quality and riding to the conditions.

Did about 600klm yesterday, over cooked a corner in the twistes in a steep down hill run about 20 klm long ended up OK

At least on a ZX14 if you keep it upright brake hard then off the brakes and just lean it over look where you want to go and hang on, you always got a good chance.

Was to fast, accumulated speed , got steeper and steeper.

The HD in the same situation , is going to be more difficult to say the least.

Always wondered what you do with a trailer lent over mid corner, if you have to brake.
