I was out at 7am for a couple of hours and the temperature was 41 degrees
I used my Gerbing electric vest and was toasty for the whole ride.
The temperature never got above 49.
But summer is coming to an end and I NEED to get out there and ride

I was cold when I got home, did about 85 miles. Wearing jeans and perforated leather jacket and perforated sidi's probably didn't help. Had a sweatshirt and t-shirt underneath. I think I need to start by getting a standard non-perf leather jacket and some flannel lined jeans.

Finally!!! Temp below the boiling point of mercury here in South Florida! 8:00 AM in Okeechobee and just abut 60F. ATGATT'd up with the "cool temp" JR gear, and it was a pleasure. It was the second break-in ride for the new 2014, and the ride was the "circuit". 45 miles; few curvies for 12 miles, then 10 miles straight (deserted road), then 18 miles with a couple curvies, refuel and 5 miles back to start point. Coupla' well timed bursts to 8500 rpm, but otherwise the up-down with no sustained rpm's past 4500. Little if any oil consumption, and next week is this break-in circuit #3, then change to synthetic. The beauty of this "circuit" is that the cage population on the "circuit" at that time of Sunday morning is maybe... 10-12 cars, and mostly in the opposite direction, LOL!!! Only problem so far is the mirrors start vibrating above about 110 mph. Tires need balancing, I believe...
.
I know this post is useless without "pictures", or a video, but my finances are depleted from the base changes needed for the ZX (sliders, helibar inserts, fender eliminator, spools, etc.) But the love of my life has kindly told me that my early T'giving present will be a "go-pro".
