PC3 help!
11/05/09 3:43 PM

Whats up guys I just finished the install of my PC3 along with my HID's. Can anyone tell me if it will hurt my bike to run the PC3 on it with the stock map even though I have full exhaust and pulled the flies?!? I want to ride it to work tonight to check out the HID's but I dont want to hurt anything. Oh yea the reason I havent got a custom map is because I'm having issues installing the PC software on my laptop.

If it were my bike, I wouldn't. Stock map should be for flies in and stock exhaust - barely different than not even having the PC on there. My guess is you will be a little lean below 6K rpm with your flies out, alone. Now add a whole lot more air with the full system and it could be trouble. I have never heard of anyone running a full system without a full system map. I don't plan to even start mine until I get the map loaded.

If you just can't wait, I'd at least load up the Muzzy m10 or some other full system map from dj. The M10 looked kind of close to the map I have for my Cannon. Please bare in mind that this was the first time I have ever compared map numbers in my life and I do not understand exactly what it is i am looking at.

Just go ride the thing! It's not like your spraying the house down on it (100 wet shot). Ride that puppy down the street and feel the POWER! Are you trying to download the software online or do you have the CD?

Download the software from Dynojets website.
My disc wouldn't download and, I read somewhere they had a run on bad discs.
When I downloaded it from their site it worked fine.

I had a buddy of mine that lived 3 hours away and he had alot of motor work done, but he said, "it just doesn't run right and I think it needs to be tuned". Told him to ride it w/ the PCIII and ride it w/o PCIII... it'll either pull hard or run like sh!t. End of the story... he had a bad map. Make sure you get a good map and/or tune or it will run like poop.

I have close to 10K on an engine w/out subthrottle plates, nor is the shaft present. I leave a light from a dead stop and if there is some sort of lag at quick throttle opening, you need to tell the cars that are 50 feet away in less than 2 seconds or less.

The bike has 3 presets. The IAP (intake air pressure sensor), the crank sensor and throttle position sensor. Each input determines the fuel trim. I have yet to hear a burnt piston. I have yet to feel a hard lag. If there is a lag, it may be hitting the cruise window, but this goes away in less than a half a second.

You are going to have to read between the lines to see what all this lean is about if the bike is running that preset. So, if my subs are not in the way, how is it that the bike romps the stomp, Piss'N'Play my throttle angle is my ass pucker is wider than my smile.
