Up to the snow line...Had to get in a January ride altho it wasn't very long or fast..Cold roads are not my favorite thing but you can see what the neighborhood is like :)

Nice Video, Chrly! I am actually surprised as I was expecting much more snow up there. Happy riding!!

Oldman...I did not think I would get that far either but we had enough days , maybe 3 , to melt the lite stuff down low. I really want to get into Lassen but still closed .

Was actually nice enough around here to take the bike out last week (and saw at least 2 others on the roads) but I still have 1/2km of ice covered roads to traverse in my neighborhood before I can make it to dry pavement. Even using sidewalks (if anyone asks, I'd never do that) I still had a serious amount of ice between me and a January ride. :(

Nightmare, I stop at the first sign of ice on the pavement, most of the time ..:) What really bothers me is when I am riding with heated gear and remember to check temp, am often shocked to find how close to freezing you can ride fairly comfortably with the right gear. The bad part is then not recognizing that there could be ice on hte road.

You have to consider my perspective when reading my posts...I would say that 80% of my riding is done aa 70 degrees or warmer.

Nice video. Why not just use Youtube to embed?

Adds for one thing..and the other...I have a tendency to not go along with the crowd :)
I have a few things on youtube and I did not like what was done to my videos . Vimeo at the time had much better quality for one thing.

Kind of like the fact that I chose Contour over GoPro cameras..Even tho Contour dang near closed up shop at one time, I bought a couple of extra cameras at that point,I have really never had a problem with them and the off/on is so simple an old man ( me) can do it without messing up :)

The Garmin verb is pretty cool too with an on/off like the Contour but my eyes cannot read the screen so I have to set it up at home and not change anything, thus why have a screen? The Contour GPS has identical sidebar readout as the Verb does and is better llooking in hte videos , imho..
