PC3 map won't load on PC5

PC3 map won't load on PC5

I have been trying to load PC3 maps into my PC5 with no success. I saved the maps on my laptop, opened the PC5 clicked file/import PC3 djm map, connected my PC5 to the laptop and clicked send. I got an error message saying: the map# 263 doesn't match the device# 302. When I download a specific PCV map from the dynojet website I have no issues whatsoever!!!!

can't direct import PC3 into PC5 or vise versa .. but you can copy and paste the value numbers onto a zero map and install them on the PC'S ..I do that all the time .. except there is no 15% value on a PC3 . so i use the 10% when installing on a PC5 twice..

I thought of that but imported the PC3 map first. When you do that it gives an average between the 10 and 20% and gives you the 20%. From there I copied and pasted on an old map but I'm having trouble setting the tps probably because of that. I'm going to try to paste on a zero map. BRB

only way i've ever set the TP is with engine running and blip the throttle.. never had an issue.. i tried the 9v battery way and it didn't work for me so i went back to the old way..
i know to set the push buttons on the front of a PC3 the bike has to be running ..

You can set the TP with the engine not running. It is a matter of timing. Get your computer hooked up via usb and the software running. Start the bike and confirm it is properly connected. Open the TP calibration tool and turn the bike off. the PCx software will go to dashes.. then turn the bike back on, not running but on, open the throttle all the way and watch for the biggest number you get in the 100%. Manually enter that number once the PC software goes back to not seeing the PC. You do the same for 0%.. just watch for the small number when throttle is closed. You can also just hit the < or > button at the exact moment and it will auto populate the fields. You have to be fast and you have to cycle the ignition a few times to get it cuz the PC software drops the connection pretty quick unless the engine is running, but it works. It takes a few times to practice and get it down.. but it's better than WOT on an unloaded running engine. Also, make sure the engine fully warmed before any of this.
