Tucson Belmont Ave?
10/22/13 12:53 PM

I saw a new 14R on Tucson's Belmont Ave a couple weeks ago.

Anyone know who rides it?

Hiya Wolfman!

Lets see, I've been off-road alot lately, on a DRZ400S dual sport, set up for dirt. I'm exploring around the local mountains, looking for routes through them, around them, over them, etc.

I had some recent experience of mountain climbing with it, and I survived it. Very Steep... A good friend told me he does not ride street anymore, too crowded and too many rules. I'm beginning to understand his view, there are other kinds of cycle thrills.

The ZX14R has been utterly reliable for me, just had new hoops put on at 12K miles (replacing the OEMs). I chose the Michelin Pilot Road 3's, very nice and I'm liking them very much. But, lots of cops now, seem to be every morning I see lots of them with someone pulled over for who-knows-what.

(BB King...): The thrill is gone, gonennnn awayyyyyy....

Hiya Meb!Glad to hear things are doing well for ya....Speaking of 'cops'...gassed my bird yesterday going up this hill to pass a semi....trooper coming the other way(naturally).I was hitting triple digits easy.Looked back in my rear view as he passed...yup...brake lights...and a lane change...I just KNEW I was toast.Slowed to the speed limit...and watched behind.Guess my luck held(again;) ).You be safe now...(gotta love the 14 eh?);)

That's great news, Grn. Yay, No tickee!

I love the exhilration thrill that comes with WOT, but I get very depressed from being boned as a consequence of my own lack of self control.

Yeah, I see tickets as my own fault, nobody elses, including the fellow tasked with issuing them.

So, ever try to climb a mountain on a dirt bike before? *Not* for the faint of heart... Thrills without the long arm o' da man.

I've always wanted to do some offroad motorcycling but have never had the opportunity.

You guys would fit right in, prolly love it.

Why? Well, it's kinda sorta lawless in the hinterlands :)

I mean sorta kinda in that you go as fast as you want to / dare to. But you dont needlessly shoot stuff. So, there's limits ;}
