This is nifty!

So... ive racked 2600 miles on my blue 14R and it needed rubber... on her posterior. Part of that is my fault... i suffered
two punctures since ive owned this scooter... the second one was a creeper... so i rode approximately 200 miles at an inflation
of around 25psi on the rear M5. Long story short... the middle of the rear tire got hot and shed like a black labrador in August.

I found a deal on tireexpress.com on Avon 3D Ultra tires... had em UPS'd to my work and i dropped the fresh tires and my
scoot at Bentley Yamaha/ Kawasaki. Really cool... albeit tiny... family owned dealer. Ive bought ALL my stuff from them ... except the 14R.
The one they ordered... Green SE... wont be there till end of May!!! Im watching them work my bike. When its done they go to
turn it around for me. The dude lights the fire... pumps the brakes... puts it in gear... and i hear the clunk!! Im used to it.
It doesnt worry me... but it was COOL AS F$CKING HELL to watch my rear tire advance aboot 10 degrees on that concrete floor when
he engaged first gear.

Oh, i should mention the floor is that really smooth, un-textured type of concrete that has had
twenty years of coolant and oil spilled on it. And the tech is aboot 5'10 and i would say 175 lbs.... he made my Ninjee
look huge!

Ok, under the "this is nifty" banner, here's a little fun I had a coupla days ago without trying to.

On my way home from work, I stopped at a Ford dealer just off the highway in a shopping mall area. I am thinking of trading for a smaller car and I wanted to look at the new Mustangs. I pull up next to the Mustang row and study some nice blue ones in the six cylinder and v-8 formats and spot a price reduced work van out near the end of the lot. Since I am always thinking, heh-heh, I'm thinking that van might be a way to haul the 14R over the boring superhighways to the destination twisties far, far away.

I pull on around to the van and get off the bike to look it over. Very soon I have two salesmen come all the way out from their showroom. One is complimenting the 14 R and asking me if I'm interested in the 'tangs or the van while the other one is walking all around the 14R. The conversation stays centered on the R and I am about to tell them I am not trading it! (fer cryin' out loud!); when the younger of the two men pulls out his cell phone and stats taking pics of the ZX. He says he "usta have Hayabusas" and he's heard about the R but this is the first one he's seen. It sure looks good, how do I like it, and hope you don't mind me taking pics, etc.

Well, it put me off at first but then I thought it was more than a little humorous. I stop in to maybe buy a car and I have two salesmen more interested in my bike than selling me a car!

I think I will go down the road to the performance Ford shop in the county and see if they have any nice blue Mustangs. Also, see if they can stay on topic with a beautiful blue "king" Ninja in their lot.
