So, another day and another project. I was looking for a forward Ram mount option and came up with the following.

I already had mirror block off plates but didn't want to experiment with them in case I messed them up so off to Amazon for another set. They came in today and this is what followed.

$8.78 for new plates and a Ram mount already in the shop and 20 minutes of work later I think this is a fairly solid mounting option.

Screwed in tight with a little thread lock.

Fairly low profile.

And there you go. Cheap ass GoPro copy mounted.

Funny thing is the mounts are worth more than the camera. ;-)

I only needed one block off plate so now I have a spare set. Might keep them in my tank bag and hand them out to the next ZX-14 I see on Hwy 20 this summer.

Ya made me look when you said Highway 20...I am just 25 minutes north but it is California Highway 20..:)

haha, no, not me. The Hwy 20 I'm talking about is in North Washington.

Cool. i have to give that a try. That's a great spot to view the rider if you turn the camera around and also good for an unobstructed view of the road pointing straight ahead.
