Bonneville Salt Flats 2012
07/29/12 9:30 PM

BUB speed trials will be starting at the end of next month, is any body planning on going? I know that a few of you live in that neck of the woods so thought you might be planning a visit. If any body is going let me know as it would be a great opportunity for us to meet each other and put a face to the names.

Bonneville piqued my interest after reading Don Vesco breaking the 300 mph in 1975 on a Yamaha TZ 750 motor. Maybe one of these days I'll visit. Have fun!

In other words, he was running an 8-cylinder streamliner. 300 mph in 1975 was beyond heroic.

If you go to Bonneville this year there is a very good chance that you could see a three cylinder push rod Triumph Trident taken out to 1000cc run at 200 mph!
