So was ready to purchase Yoshimura R-77 slip-ons. Then I read that these don't work on the abs model. Is this true...If so what slip-ons fit the abs model?

I dont see where abs would come into play with regards to exhaust at all.

I dont see where it's routed any different than any other dual slip on setup. Where did you read this? Does thier website state this?

I checked thier website, and it doesn't say anything about it NOT fitting the abs model. All abs related components aren't close to the exhaust at all. Maybe the abs pickup sensor on the rear swing arm? I still dont think its near close enough to cause any issues.

My boy is running a 2013 special edition, he saw on Yosh website that the R77's should not be used with antilock system on the zx14r abs equipped. He showed me this on his phone (pulled up site) at Bike night this Thursday. It came up in convo, because I suggested he get the r77slips, and that's when he communicated this info. I am no expert, perhaps Hub is better equipped to answer this, but I did not see any wiring getting too close to hot exhaust bits. Just to confirm I heard this three days ago. There may very well be no need for concern, but I did see this disclaimer on his smart phone.
Cheers...
Email AJS he is on the forum if your curious about more info. It was new information for me!

Yoshi are worried the rear brake sensor wire will come into contact with the hot muffler on the RHS, I simply rerouted my sensor cable slightly to remove the problem. I have had these mufflers on now for over 30,000 Kms with NO problems at all.

I don't really know but I'm guessing that it's the easiest way to set up the website.Just put abs or non abs to all or most of the listings on the site.I'm sure 99% of the items are the same but a few may differ or not work for a bike with abs.Rather than list if it will, won't or might it's just easier to have the abs and non abs boxes.I've noticed on several things I've looked at that the bike yr and model section listed abs/non abs for stuff that would have nothing to do with brakes (luggage, grips, etc) but it's there.Unless someone actually told you that those will not work and then I'd want to know why.

Nastynotch is spot on. I have the carbon R77's on my 2013 ABS and love them. They sit exactly the same as stock cans, only smaller. No interference with anything, or fitting issues. Same as any other exhausts.
Maybe because earlier model exhausts were not suitable for the 2012-2014. They are different. You have to get the correct one for this model.

If you have an exhaust option that does away with the cats, I'd think you would be BETTER for a slip on or full exhaust, than the OEM cans. IF it truly is a heat issue, most carbon or titanium cans are MUCH cooler than stock. maybe even stainless (if they are a straight through design)?
Heck, with my Brocks CT Duals, I can shut the bike right off and touch the exhaust, that has to be way less of an issue than the heatsoakers Kawasaki puts on there.
