If You Haven't Activated teh Accelerator Pump on Your PCIII yet..........
09/21/09 7:27 AM

.....just do it! I activated the accelerator pump utility on my CBR first and using Jeff's settings ran it with the old FuelMoto map to get a base line. Wow! Throttle response was greatly improved, very noticeable in all gears. I found myself running one gear higher on the freeway i.e I normally cruise 6000 rpm in 5th at 90 mph on the CBR, with accelerator pump engaged I kept upshifting to 6th cause the bike was pulling like it was in 4th not 5th. 6th gear acceleration now felt like 5th. You have to set up sensitivity, RPMs and % fuel change, Jeff's numbers were spot on! I was so impressed, I went and added the pump utility to the 14 and reset the throttle points and got the same results. It's a low end torque monster now! I can't give away the settings as they were part of the map service but do some experimenting beginning with DynoJets recommendations and work from there.

Rotty call the elixir mixir out. All those years with the pc 2% out of phase with the DJ instructions? Don't you think most are running 2% off scale? "Helpie need a map!" Bump my accel button... Why didn't I just read the instructions better?

Watt is going on?

I must admit that I am asleep at the wheel when it comes to this one. The accel pump feature slid right by me. Read this post and finally got around to doing it. I basically just set it up as recommended but don't have any idea where to go from there. Has anyone tried any other settings? What does resetting the throttle points do for you? I took it for a ride and thought the change wasn't that noticeable. It may be smoother I just don't know. The biggest kick that I've gotten so far in order of increase are 1 06 with my fly removal. 2 Full Yosh header system. 3 89 octane fuel 4 cool high pressure days the cool days may well be the number one but you can't always have it. The reason I added the list was that I ran some 92 octane which seemed to diminish the power at part throttle. I used to always run 92 but decided to switch to 89 as prices went over 3 bucks a gal.

It's not fair! Everyone is a master tuner and I don't know what you are talking about. I see the accel. pump on my PC111 but what? How can a motor run better with a lower octane fuel? In SA Kawasaki say minimum 95 octane. Why do you reset the throttle points? Sorry, I am a bit dumb.

How do you re-set the throttle points? I went on a 2200km ride this last weekend and the bike ran ok(?), but the fuel consumption is not great.
ROMANS, I will try and do what you said and get back to you on the e-mail.

Is it that when the first time we change something and "feel" a difference, the next time we are expecting more and then think there is something wrong as the bike is heavier on fuel or just not going so well? Maybe, cause I feel mine is not so hot. It goes, but that oomph after removing the flies seems to have disappeared.

Remove flies, you remove a lot of linear smooth. With flies removed, your event is faster air flow. You hack the bike, it sets it over fat short of busting an iridium out. The ignition sets faster, you get this jerky quick ignition. Take it out!

Back to linear smooth. If you have added power, you should get better mileage that you feed less propel into it is the quicker propel you lift a bit quicker on the sustain. So, even though your (+/-) is on the plus feed, you tell me how I have this bottom bump, the tank empties with a faster speed and you think the HP bumped?

I need to get on a dyno. I may have to wait till April. There are H-B bike shows popping all around here and there was a guy with a trailer'd rig who showed up one year. I have a lot more presets I can let the screen see. I think the bump is the same, just the same torque moved up the scale like an advance curve in an old distributor cap.

If the flapper opens faster, the sub being the same system performs the quick is to lick the same 3wV.

And you know when I call you a bunch of "linear losers"; that really means me. I'm so confused!
