Got a big one starting it looks like. 5:00AM Tuesday 02-01-2011, heavy sleet coming down, 12" to 20" of snow predicted by Wednesday morning. Work cancelled for today and probably tomorrow too. Blizzard conditions predicted with 20-40mph winds and -20 wind chill. Hopefully the electric stays on. This reminds me of my 2 year stay in northern Illinois some time back, and why my stay only lasted 2 years.
Geez I HATE winter (that's about as mildly as I can put it).

Yup, our storm starts this afternoon. Blizzard condition, up to 30cm so they say. We will see.

We don't have more than a foot of snow in my part of Western Maryland, but I hate winter just as much as you. I still haven't done much on my winter projects because the garage isn't heated.

Guess I'll have to bundle up like I was going snowmobiling or something and get the work done anyway.

But there is hope, guys. Its February now, already. Spring will get here before you know it.

But never soon enough, eh?

That's what I keep telling myself. In another 4 weeks or so it'll be decent enough out to ride the dirt bike regularly, another month and I can start fixing the Busa.
The weather service has missed the call on the last 2 snow events this winter, 6" turned out to be 1", so I'm hoping they'll get it just as wrong this time too.

Yes, beginning to look that way. Got around 6" here in Republic, and still coming down hard.

Blew and drifted so much out here, can't really tell how much we got. 4" deep in some places, knee deep in others. My pickup bed is level full though. Bout a mess alright.
