There is one in my MC and I've seen a few at COG events. Nice bikes!

They have terrible headshake above 90 mph. The ST1100's were much better in my opinion. I saw a ST1100 with 229,000 miles on it the other day.

A friend of mine used to have one so I know a little bit about them. I have had several sport touring bikes, currently own an FJR.

Why do you ask?

I did a foolish (maybe!) thing and bought an 08 with 11000km on for a reasonable price. I have ridden this specific bike before and there was no headshake, but also no power ala ZX1400. It is a world apart, but veeeeery comfortable for long trips. The ZX will always have the no 1 spot in the garage, but the ST is definitely a better long distance cruiser. Just thought maybe someone else had one as well. I see they have had a launch of the new 6 cylinder BMW in SA, but better still, the new ZX10 won both heats first time out in SA against the last years champion BMW 1000. Maybe a good omen for SBK this year?

Harley

I don't think that was foolish at all, two bikes is always better than one. Enjoy

Headshake...yeah right.....the only head shake is the riders head noding in disbelief that they didnt buy one earlier...

Thanks, RUNNERHIKER, is true. I rode it yesterday and went 220km/h two up (almost flat-out, methinks!!!) and there is absolutely no headshake, bumshake or any other shake. It just cruises along like a big ocean liner. I was going to say the Titanic, but we all know what happened to that. All in all not bad. Fuel consumption about the same as the ZX. Tank much bigger at 29 litres, so 420km+ between fill-ups. Well, no more about the ST. This is ZX territory, isn't it?
