You can't measure his actions by the same standards we have in western culture. You just can't. In fact you can't measure me by those same standards either. I am so Libertarian in my views that I give guns as wedding presents to my gay friends. I mean, if he wants to kill his own daughter what business is it of mine? No harm, no foul... if he kills her then he gets charged according to local laws. If nothing bad happens than whatever. It's his daughter after all... well probably. He's the one that has to live with his decisions. Best way I can put it is this, until she is actually hurt then it is a victimless action. The law should only step in after there is a victim on that victims behalf. Until then, no crime was committed, as far as I am concerned. Some of you might be appalled by my view. Don't get me wrong, I am not advocating taking small children on motorcycles in traffic. I just believe in true freedom.

Now if that happens in a society that has support systems like public health and rehabilitation services, should fools like this retain access to these services in cases of abject stupidity? Again, just another opinion. On the topic of freedom, sure, you can have your freedom to be as stoopid as you like, so long as you also take full responsibility for the consequences. On the other hand, if your daughter is seriously maimed and become highly dependant requiring full time care, does society pay (using my tax dollars) for those consequences? Cause I gotta tell ya if I'm going to pay for these consequences, then I'm going want to have a say in how much stoopidity I'm going to bank roll.
SO if he wants complete freedom, give it to him including the freedom to pay for the consequences of his actions!
Phrased another way, control and responsibility are two side of the same coin. If you take control then you also take responsibility. Force responsibility onto me, then I will demand control.
No offence intended, just offering an alternate point of view.
:)
btw: I think the guy is nuts and I hope no harm comes to that little child.
