Well...it MAY be a another Golden Blazed Green one...without flames...and with ABS....IDK WHERE my dealer found this model....it was a picture off the kawasaki website apparently. It's labeled a 2013 w/abs.Gonna go with it if he can get it.

It's apparently an SE model without the flames...something Kawasaki changed 'kinda' at the last minute...has the factory polished rims...the whole SE thing. He said the white one couldn't be ordered with abs...odd...but it's cool...I loved my green spaceship! He ordered it yesterday.
Yep...it's there on their site....they musta added it today...I was wondering why the pages wouldn't load....SE Green w/out the flames...SHWEEEEET!ABS.The sidepanel is green as well....most excellent!;)

Yup...I liked em also...but...I think I can get by without...it was the color I really liked. The only 'flamed' one in green was the 2012...without abs.Wanted to have abs this time out.Everyone says it's the 'best thing going' for a bike(like this).

That's a good call. Well worth the hit you're gonna take if you're getting rid of the 'old' one. Just don't know why the '12 bikes for the US didn't have ABS to start with like here in Blighty.

ABS, traction control, wheelie control, multiple power modes-all are looked upon with a somewhat jaundiced eye by Americans as intrusive, overly complex and mostly unnecessary. Mother Kaw knows this and offers some features as options rather than standard equipment over here in the colonies.

GRN14,
Good for you!
So that's a green like the Canadin green with the SE wheels an no flames an the grills are painted green as well. Question what about the top of the triple tree is that SE too? Where on the website is it?

Ya...it's the same everything minus those decals. It's on there...on the Kawasaki USA site(supersport 2013's).BTW...my dealer checked(for you[and me]Audioboyz)...that white one does NOT come with ABS....bummer really.Special order maybe?....IDK...I suppose they would. Some of the things are 'optional'...IDK if THAT is(abs/White).It's a VERY good looking bike fer sure.In the light it gives off a bluish tinge...very faint...nice.What's ODD...they show a pic of the White one...on the fender..front..it has that sticker..."KTRC" and "ABS" right on there.IDK.My guy made calls...said no go abs White...and the Green was added to the lineup only a week ago.ABS.No flames. It's just a SE is all it is.Guess Kawi 'got it' that not everyone was digging those flames...I liked em....but a lot of guys think it's a tad overdone with em.Character...they do give the Green SE a bit of unique character.
Checked on the site again last night...parts diagrams...may end up getting a set of nose flames...maybe.Apparently..they aren't clearcoated over...so that's kinda good?
One 'bad' thing about having a White bike that goes 186....you get a rock strike or somethin...yer gonna see it....I still don't get why Kawasaki doesn't 'beef up' the frontal paint areas.Just apply a few more coats to it...it'd be perfect!I hate rock chips!
I had my new bike...beautiful....nice and polished and all...only had er like a week.Came home from a ride...looked at the front headlamp as I was cleanin the bugs off...friggin rock had lodged right in the gap between the lamp assembly and the fairing cutout RIGHT AT THE NOSE!I'm like...WTHELL???Of ALL places to have a rock hit...there it is...geez.Pulled it out as carefully as I could...nope..there was a gouge where it 'chipped' the fairing plastic right there...took an exacto and had to shave the jagged fairing spot right there to try and match the other side's lines.God I was pissed...for several days.It wasn't like anyone would really see it...but I knew...I saw it everytime I went to go ride.Pissed...very.It turned out okay...looked the same as the other side...to anyone else that is!Couldn't believe it!How in the heck does a pebble hit right there...of all the places it could hit??????
Maybe I should have taken it as a warning..."do not idolize your motorcycle...it can be removed in a heartbeat"....hmmmm...that actually went through my head...I remember it clearly.

Yeesh...doncha HATE that shit.My new bike...I'm ridin...havin a blast.I'm wearin my several years old Alpha Green Military jacket...like the pilots wear...shaped like a bomber jacket...but 'nylon' or whatever that's made of.I stop to get fuel...friggin pop the cap...I notice about 10 chip marks like right back of the tank cap...on the paint...all kinda just grouped together there..it's all the way into the bare metal...FU#$!!I'm so pissed...wanted to throw something.I'm thinkin...HOW the hell did THAT get there.....then I noticed...my JACKET.....METAL ZIPPER grabber...flapped into the tank when I was leaned in and railin.OMG...I was SOOOO angry at myself....my solution?...remove the factory tank protector(ya,really worked well here)...and restick it UP farther...and hide those ^%$#@ pits.Good idea....easy.....shouldn't be any problem at all...there...I feel much better already.
I get home...gonna do this...fix my baby up like new again....shit!They have the thing glued on there with some sort of Japanese SuperGlue...My God..took me 2 hours just to peel that thing off without tearing it.And ANOTHER hour to FINALLY get the glue off the tank to reinstall!I'm as pissed as I was when I first saw it....anyway..it worked out...I just calmed down and stayed with it....turned out fine. But I mean...sheesh...what's with the Gorilla Glue?It weren't no fun tryin to loosen that shit up and keep from scratchin the tank;)So I think I had THE ONLY zx14R 2012 with a tank pad mod that no one would ever notice!Hey...it looked cool actually...they shoulda had it up there to begin with!Fuckin jacket....almost burned that bitch. It was fine until the wind at speed caught the zipper and started 'pullin' it down...right where it could nail my gorgeous tank!
EVERY jacket I ride with..they all've been mooded with a piece of leather glued to the button tops...first thing I do.
I think you can see...this was a progression of little shit culminating in a BIGAZZ crash that destroyed the bike.First the rock hit...then this...then...BAM!
"she's a goner boys"!....something about priorities in this...I know there MUST be...LOL!!!!
I forgot to mention the three chips in my front top fender..think I told Hagrid.Yup....friggin forks bottomed(unbeknownst to moi)...compressed and the nose bolt smacked the top of the fender...nice....I could see it clear as bell...geez...(no one else would see probably)...but again....another pissant deal to get my blood goin!
What's that sayin?"third time's a charm"?????

Guess I should be glad its just a little tiny chip ! freaking colorite wants $15 for the pen color, $15 for the base coat, and $10 for the clear coat, and $8 shipping $50 for a little chip ! worst part is I think the dealer did it, but I have no proof .... I guess it could have been my jacket zipper, but I doubt it, as I am pretty anal about that stuff ... oh well ....

I am also absolutely NUTS when it comes to nicks or scratches on such a new bike, especially an impreccable bike like this one is.
I had a very minute nick in my fairing clearcoat/paint just behind the front tire, right above the ground. I worked with one of those scratch remover pads and then rebuffed the spot with a dremel and pad to where its no longer there. And this was a very, VERY small nick down where you are gonna get nicks no matter how careful you are to stay out of gravel and whatnot. But I HAD to get ride of that small spot.
I realize I gotta get over that kinda nit-picking stuff if I am to enjoy the bike for what it was meant to be; a fun machine to ride. But I still can't come to grips with scratches or nicks in any capacity. At least, not just yet.
My bike is pristine thus far, and I plan to keep it that way as long as I can. Or until I have a change of heart and gain a *to hell with it* attitude towards small scratches and nicks.

Ya...I hear ya...I'm the same way...BUT...I got to a point where I HAD to say...okay...check this out...it's gonna happen...accept it...fix it if ya can...if not....RIDE!...teensy nicks...ya...I can deal with it.Something 'big and ugly'(like a gouge or something)...no...I've been known to buy new pieces.Somehow...having a bike like these...ya just want to keep er lookin sharp...flawless.It aint gonna happen...not for me anyway...too many semis here haulin trees and rocks an stuff.I certainly don't sit behind em when I'm out ridin...that's for sure.
What gets me is....when yer ridin...everything's fine...road's good...clear....pavement debris free....then outta the blue...BAM...a pebble or something somehow hits ya...HOW does THAT happen????HOW...tell me....I NEED to know this.I mean...you're checkin out the road surface as yer ridin...how can ya miss something that 'seems' so damn 'big'.I aint talkin chunks...but big enough to leave a mark...and it's 'usually' hitting UP at the upper part of the bike....what's up with that?HOW can it be hitting 'up' when yer cruisin straight ahead and there's NO time for a tire stuck rock to get anywhere NEAR the upper part of the bike.No oncoming traffic...no cars ahead?.It's beyond me.I'm really careful about where I pick my spot in the lane when I ridin...(well...usually;) )
