Great night weather out there, thought Id go out and test out my shift light(set to 10,500) never miss shifted, and works perfect. But as im pulling in the garage I notice it ticking BAD and that was with my helmet still on. Sadly this is the time of year I like to ride the most, and it looks like im about to tear it down for the winter, and do a rebuild. Not sure yet what the problem is. Its putting out a little bit of white/bluish smoke, and of course ticking like a bat out of hell. If it is a piston or something lower end, then im going to look into big bore kits. Dont need anything crazy, but if im in there, I might as well go bigger. Doubt id do anything crazy like the 1570 since its not a drag bike, but probably at least the 1451 kit. I havent done any research yet, so I have a lot to learn on the subject and go from there.
Temp was still at 1/2, took this 10 second video, and shut it off. Im not going to start it again until I at least get a bore scope down in it, and see what the damage is. I was not on nitrous when it happened, but what ever broke, was probably a direct result of previous nitrous use. My thought is to possibly build the bike close to what I was doing on nitrous (upper 220's whp), and sell the nitrous kit. Possibly a 1451 kit with 47mm throttle bodies, and velosity stacks, and some head work, who knows right. lol
This is what I heard when I got off the bike.
