Status is: A 92049-2204 = $2.00 or under for the seal. Over that = Gouge.

1. One grinder.
2. One sheet rock screw.
3. One nice tip like surgical sacrificial needle plunge.
4. One good shot in the arm you mess the middle you better not drink yet.
5. One more time. Aim at the case you scrubeer dub-dub.
6. One time on the other side, oh shit you better read seven then.
7. One way hose say can you sea sickness or slick is they have that...
8. One ball away is now you are behind that number. Steady! Steady!
9. One major break-thru and that screw is so perfect you take that phillips and screw it in the seal.
10. One pull on that screw shaft with a vice grip holding that sheet in your pants is pull!
11. One deep socket about ready to send that new seal home.
12. One more look at that shaft so no nick is on it you tagged it so pull the engine and replace shaft.
13. One magic marker to hammer home where it was before you started.
14. One push of the starter so begins the balance adjust.
15. One turn makes noise, the other way makes it quiet.
16. One way or the other, you sign off on this and let the dealer deal with it or loophole it you look the backyard me can nick do it to it.

No you cant!
Yes you can!
No you cant!
Yes you, YOU got enough figured out I gotta hold your hand/change your landing rear!

Looked in my "Donny Diaper Deer Eyes"; flat-rate says eyes takes about 3 minutes R&R time [tools already laid out] SET! GOOOOOooooooooo!

Hub is keerect again!However...just to exclude any possibilities...did you check to see IF it's actually NOT DRIPPING FROM ABOVE somewhere? And I also noticed....hummmm...looks like that "arm/bolt" deal there has previously been tampered with? Those balancers shouldn't need any adjustments.... .

Hey Blue Thanks for chimeing in....You decifer hubs knowledge very well.
It seems to be coming from there but I could be wrong I will take the fairings off over the weekend and make sure thats where its coming from. As far as the Arm/bolt goes I havent tampered with it but maybe the dealer did when they rebuilt my engine? As far as those balancers go if they where out of adjustment would that cause the bike to run with more vibration? Since I got the bike back from the dealer about 700 miles ago the bike doesent seem as smooth as it used to be.
Thanks

OH...they REBUILT your motor.Ya...IF they didn't get em set right...she would feel more rough.Definitely looks like the paint or metal has been scratched or something right there....There's a how to in the manual....but someone here maybe could help ya through it.Ya...makes perfect sense now since you mentioned the motor repair.Yup.I read a bit about the adjustment in the manual a while back.Seemed easy enough. One man job.If she felt more vibey...that's most likely what happened.I believe it was the Hubster who talked me out of adjusting mine."If it aint broke"...you know.I just left mine alone after his advice. She's smooth as glass anyway.

Snuffy,

If that is a seal leak, you see it was not broken by the lock arm to balancer shaft, you looking close at the paint being chipped off, then who the hell put that engine together?

Like blue mentioned, is this residual oil now showing a peppered dirt cling to it? Is this a puddle of oil running down to the bottom of the case where the clutch and crank meet in that valley?

The work is called... No Nicks on the case or the shaft.

This is how I remove seals such as we have behind that shaft locker. I have a 700 mile leak and you see it now? Say, what are the odds that leaked the day you picked it up and now??? I think you have some shottie work that didn't last 1000's of miles like mine does not leak a drop and how come they used the same parts is parts in your bike? So, do you take it back and get it looked at with fairings off? Do it yourself and look higher so you know it's the shaft or valve cover coming down from there.

And say, if you rebuilt a whole new engine, would you not have a different gear meshing with a different gear and now you have a vib? Do we want to move those balancers to see if they were moved at all and maybe you luck out the vib left or say; Chain for sprocket tooth to gear from trans off crank case match is match trans gears and now the bike might ha've split case will travel up a vibe = Nothing matches gear to gear to chain to tooth bad, guy.

So I purchase the new seal and drop the bike off to get the leak fixed last saturday....the dealer is packed with bikes so I give the dealer a few days and give them a call on Tues. they say havent even looked at it yet. I wait 2 days and call again on thurs at 4pm and they say they are just very busy and they will call me when its ready. So with memorial day weekend about to kick off and the weather will be in the 80's and 90's I need my bike!!! So I tell the dealer if he can get the bike fixed before 4 pm friday he would get $100 bucks in his pocket for his troubles.....Friday at noon I get the call ...Your bike is ready come pick it up....so the old saying CASH is KING is still in effect!LOL

Happy Memorial Day Guys!!!

I have a `12 14R with 13k miles on it that is starting to weep a little oil in this same place. I haven't checked the service manual yet, looks pretty straight forward, any pitfalls I need to be aware of before going at it? I have the GTPP but just as soon not let the stealership lay their hands on it if I don't have to. thanks

To anyone else with this issue it is very straight forward. I experienced no surprises. Your just removing a seal out of a blind hole, use your choice, screw, pick, etc for removal. Drive new seal in with appropriate sized socket.
