slip-on decision help
05/09/14 9:56 PM

Hello all,

I have been looking at slip-on exhaust systems for my 14, I have it narrowed down to three systems. The first is Brocks slip-on,the second is two brothers silver series slip-on and the third is the m4 exhaust which I'm leaning towards. So now at this point, I'm looking for some feedback and suggestions from end users. Thanks in advance.

I don't know anything about Brocks, a lot said about them here, but have had 3 CBR1100XX 2 brothers slip on's polished "scratched easy" on all 3..I did the same on my 13 ZX-14R SE I really like them..I did change to the titanium with green screw kit and gold plates they have a sorta of custom order deal online.

I love my M4 retro drag slips. They are just beautiful and sound awesome! To me they are flawless. If they had a full system that was a dual setup, is go for it. I agree with the full system of you want all the performance. I want performance as well as cosmetics. I love the look of the dual exhaust. I guess if you mate them with the akra header, you'd have a full system. Wich is what I'm doing at the end of this month.

+1 on the full system advice.
I put the Yoshi R77 carbons on mine and like them. Then I fitted the Akra headers to make up the full system and made it breathe much better, and a sweeter/deeper note.

I went with the Two Brothers slip on's, and the noise suppressing tips. I wanted improved appearance, reduced weight, and only some increased loudness. They have a nice deep, throaty sound, louder than OEM.

The inner ring at the tip of the cans is visible in the picture below, they reduce noise.

The M4s look great and they are going to be a little lighter than other slipons. I'd get a full system for all the weightloss and hp advantage you can get. Slipons might be worth the $$ if they are at a reduced price or if you are sure you are not going to want the ultimate performance.

The 14 always looks better with dual pipes....full system may give more power and a different sound, but the thing just looks better with dual cans IMO. One thing is for sure, ditching the bazookas that come stock is a good idea if for nothing else for weight savings.

I researched a lot prior to buying Muzzys..I am around guys with most of the others and while they all are pretty nice, i still am pretty stoked about them. They look great and sound fantastic, as Nastynotch would agree I am sure.

The Vance and Hines slip ons were really nice but it is my understanding that they will only fit up to 2011. Last I checked they were not supporting the 2nd Gen 14 due to poor sales. I think these were called CS Ones.

If i was gonna get a full system, it would be Brocks.

Edited to say....Its cool we have options though.....go with what you like best. Its your bike.

I've got a Brock's full system, but had I gone for slip-ons they would have been Graves:

Thanks for all of the replies, I like the Graves exhaust that was mentioned. So now I have to decide between the Graves or the m4 exhaust.
