R77+ QL Evo + Trax Evo Panniers
01/08/15 1:31 PM

Hey guys,

First time posting here and hoping all you ZX-14R owners can help me out.

I want to put panniers on my bike and was wondering if anyone has ever done the following combo:
QL Evo Side-carriers + Trax Evo Alu boxes.

Now, probably the most important bit of info here is I have Yoshi R77 pipes.
The R77's are most shorter, smaller and lower than the stock pipes and referencing from photos.. appear much lower than the Akrapovic's too.

So, was wondering if anyone can assist, either with actual knowledge of fitting them up, or just some tips / notes.

Cheers guys,
Aaron.

So, bit of an update here, hopefully it can help some people out in the future.

Mounted up the side-carriers yesterday, they appear to have plenty of clearance at this stage. The boxes are in the mail (45L versions), so should know how they fit shortly.

Here is a pic of the racks mounted up.

Let us know how it turns out. Pictures are a great help, and that looks cool so far!

You don't usually see the adventure type aluminum boxes on the 14R, but I've always thought they looked badass. Rugged and heavy duty, and effective use of internal volume unlike my V35's.

There's a thread on stromtroopers.com, DL650A '12+ forum, by a guy greywolf (long term inmate over there), where QL Evo owners have fought for years with a bag-to-rack clearance issue, with the Trax luggage.

I hpoe your mileage is better.

Hey guys,

Yeah I like the heavy duty look of these boxes opposed to the more plastic egg-shell stuff.
It's nice being about to just lock them on and off when needed too.

I will let you know how I go clearance wise with the boxes, should be good though.

And will be sure to post up some pictures.
Here's hoping their waiting for me at home this afternoon...

Aaron.

Okay guys,

The boxes greeted me at home this afternoon, so I gave them a *very* quick clean (bought them 2nd hand), changed the locks to my own and then fitted them up!

Unfortunately the whole state is drowning in rain at the moment, so I only got some shi**y photos from in the garage again :(

Anyway, miles of room!
I'm pretty happy, they are HUGEEE!!! - But, it's great having all the more space, even if I am weight constrained.

But yeah, onto the pictures, tell me your thoughts.
