IMS Long Beach, CA Dec. 9-11
11/29/11 12:14 PM

Any forum members going to the IMS in Long Beach?

If so what day?... Wanna grab a brew?

A friend and I are hittin' the road on the 8th, and the IMS in the LBC is our first planned stop... Would be cool to meet up with a forum buddy or two.

Also... Anyone know of any RV friendly camping and/or must ride roads in the area?... Will be in my truck w/ a slide in camper and bikes in tow. Probably spend a couple days in SoCal before heading towards Texas.

Have fun.

Pimpin' my Homie to pay for the trip.

Will be a fun trip... Was hoping to make it to Houston for that track day on Dec. 10th, but no dice... Can't leave here until the 8th and Houston is 43 hour drive... Rested and ready to ride 7am the 10th ain't happening.

Really no plan now other than stop in SoCal, spend a few days in Texas, and get home by the 19th... trampin'... kinda.

If not covered in snow/ice the Angeles Forest is a great ride.

Malibu area has tighter roads and lower elevations for a second option.

I'm not familiar enough w/ area south to recommend.

Thx Blue... Yeah, we're tryin' to get away from the snow and ice... Will be plenty of that waiting for us when we get back home.

Dogo, what part of LA are you aiming for? If you want to take the bikes out of the trailer, shoot up the rock, down the coast, maybe we can get some here to hook up? I frequent this order and go eating establishment; guaranteed to make your brains fall out. It's on the list to be one of your memorable stops. Thing is, it is close to the rockstore area. And if you time in on Sat or Sunday... You get to see this...

In... I'll bring the ductape, you bring the bandaids.

Looks like there's a bunch of RV spots in the area too... We'll probably probably post up off Hwy 1, somewhere between Santa Monica and Malibu then... Let's plan to ride on Sunday the 11th... Thinkin' we'll go to the IMS, then find a bar to watch the UFC on the 10th.

I'll kick a few of the southern boys in the nutz for ya, mad5674.

Sun is a no go here... Darn, I forgot about Sunday! Sat is the dealer show, but seeing the black bike with all black wheels, I am not to interested in anything else. Sat work?

Assuming we get outta here early on the 8th, Sat will work... Only concern with that, at this point, is that I have to order the class V hitch and extension for my rig yet... May be bolting that fucker on the morning of the 8th.

How does that go? Best laid plans of mice and men?

... often go awry!... But if you ask me, that's often the most memorable part of an adventure.

Ok... off to go find my hitch... fucking thing is made about 75 miles from my house, but the company will not sell to me direct... gotta jump through hoops and pay a middle man.
