I like my alpinestars.. More of a road race boot but i use them to race in. Also went street riding/bike nights with em, not bad at all for a riding boot.

The Puma has a according style front ankle. Easy to walk in. If you have a wide foot they take some time to stretch out. Like a slipper afterwards.

Check out shifts new half boot.
I know they aren't the greatest for serious riding. But they look stylish and you are supposed to be able to wear them all day.

Actually I was pretty amazed with my A-Stars-20-30 degree weather and my feet stayed very warm(and the "cold weather boots" I have didn't even feel like cold weather gear!)

I have a pair of alpinestars and they are great but nothing is as comfortable ,IMHO, as cruiserworks boots. They are great to walk in, they are waterproof and armored but most of all comfortable. good from 25 to 100 degrees.

I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer. The future is uncertain and the end is always near.

I have 4 pairs of boots: a water proof pair, black Sidi B2's, white Sidi vertigo boots & my blue Alpinestars SMX Plus boots.

The A* SMX Plus, IMHO, & with my show size (Euro 43) is, by far, the most comfortable for all day riding.

For my hooligan riding for an afternoon, my Sidi Vertigo's are fine.

The A* has a funky curved zipper that can be a problem sometimes if you wear your pants inside the boot.

I have the SIDI B2's they are not a full on race or track boot but in between... they feel like slippers on my feet!!! You can walk hours in them and they are not super flashy either so you can go into a pub or restaurant cause they do fit nicely under your jeans.... Anything by Sidi I would recomend!!! Great product, the Italian's make the best shoes and boots!! lol!!

I have a pair of Icon motorhead boots that I wear all day without a problem. About the same size of an over the ankle construction boot except it has latches instead of laces.

Any recomendations on the sizing of the Sidi vertigos? I wear size 11 tennis shoe. Vertigoes pretty close to shoe size?

Size 43 is a US 9 1/2. They seem to fit normally. I think Newenough has a chart.

Sidi Way Rains, like the fact they are extra-wide for my big feet.

Can get a little hot in the summer (not to mention the toaster ovens we ride) but they are very comfortable.

full race style boots are very thin and easy to get under the shifter. I wear the sidi vertigo's and LOVE them, very comfortable, and they are externally smaller than my tennis shoes(which I won't wear while riding anyway).

Scotty...

I must admit that I too suffer from BAF Syndrome...Big A$$ Feet that is. Depending on the maker I wear a 14 or 15. Huge problem to find decent boots and add my 36" inseam and it really sucks.

Exactly correct. Size 43 Sidi fit my 9.5 feet just perfect.

scottjkyl; I wear a size 13 EE, and I've been wearing boots riding for 40 years. Never had a problem shifting, but I've melted a few heels, and ground a few sides. I went with a TCX boot. Runs wider for a bigger foot but is thin and comfortable. I needed something for hot weather so I bought the Airtech. Not a track boot, but more protection than a tennis shoe or workboot.

Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.
