Gotta say after 9 days owning my zx14 that this bike freakin rocks! The brakes, handling, relative comfort, acceleration, wait lets get back to that last one... the ACCELERATION! I gotta say its hard to believe something this good/fast/sweet is legal! More power than you can use on the street, and its all stock. I'm lovin it!

Where have you been? This bike is slow as if we speak the Z1 is slow. Therefore speed is relative. Acceleration is relative. I'm waiting for the next world's fastest and it's going to be slow in about 6 miles. 9 days??? Wait till you say that 20,000 miles from now. You will still have the word acceleration in a sentence. Damn! I did it again!

sure theres faster than the 14, and the 14 can be made much faster, but its such a nice package bone stock. Ive modded quite a few things in the past and I will say that speed is an addiction. But imho the 14 is pretty close to perfect stock...of course a pipe and a pc3 and...haha lol. The best part is the overall package: fast, comfy for a sport bike and great looking imo.

Around here you say gen1 gen2 or ((STOCK)) having a better package than your, ah um, cough cough... Duck!

well....put an exhaust on there and a couple other goodies and it gets a lot less legal but gooder/ faster/ sweeter!

to all you with some zx14 experience... does an aftermarket exhaust/pc3/tune etc cool the bike down some? It seems to be fine at highway speeds (or more lol...)but around town at lights etc a bit warm!

Mine is well broken in. I am running a leaner setting than most. My water bars are all full at their 5 stages and not even does the fan come on. Relax. You see bikes bought and run hot is they are making HP. If you need a PC, a pipe, and all that other crap... Why , you'll hear not one bike blown up or overheating due to something you are coming up with simmer down!

Think like this and everything will be alright with your 14. I think the brand can take some heat as made... What do you think? Feel better?

Mine did run alot cooler with the addition of a full exhaust system and a custom map! I also think the muzzy fan helps keep the temp down at lights. At WELL over 100 deg. days my temp. goes to four bars when sitting at lights here in hell / Phoenix. When it was stock the temp guage would peg. This place is the true test of your cooling system!

Hub, if your guage shows 5 bars and the fan is not comming on your bike is not broken in its f***ing broke.

I know my baby times 3-different size injectors. I've trimmed my baby with pig and accel pump and all the rest of the shit. My AFR has stopped with a sample of 13 and change says the needle. You assume there is a problem with the bike. That makes you look like one of them there assumers.

Know your lambda table. 16.2:1 AFR = Best Economy "part throttle." Key there says part throttle is a 15 lean machine not on, not off throttle. Heat should be coming off my legs I'm too lean, right?

You would assume and now look at you! Me sipping some down and blueberry muffin chaser. This bike ROCKS! Pee Wee ID!

As soon as I accel away, the water table goes back down to two bars no matter how hard I beat her to point A or back to point B.
