I know everyone like the new 14 including myself but I didn't see anything about the out the door price.. Does anyone know? I know the 2011's in my area are 12k.

MSRP is $14699 for the black or blue one and $14899 for the green SE... Dealers are gonna tag on another $1500 for freight and setup... then add applicable taxes and license fees... Don't expect there to be much, if any wiggle room until next fall.
However, you can save a few bucks buying any new, current model year, Kawi through Costco.

I completely forgot about freight and setup.
Yep, and they won't be waiving those fees anytime soon on the 14r.
BTW Priv, I just checked Costco site... 14r is not listed yet, but the 2012 Connie is.

Luckily my local dealer is a friend.... Waiting on numbers as we speak, soon I will know how much of a friend he really is. On my last 14 he knocked off 1K off sticker and threw in 5 year warranty out the door with only adding tax.

Yes, but on the last bike, he probably didn't have a bunch of 2010 and 2011 stuff to sell still, nor a 2012 bike that he can get just about anything he asks for it, within reason of course.
I bet if I have a crated 2012 ZX14 in my garage right now, I could get $18,000 in 1 hour on CycleTrader ....

DogoZX can you link COSTCO ? Or is it the same CostCo I'm thinking off (discount household stuff etc.)
Same Costco... Was a test program in Cali last year but has expanded.
IIRC, guys were paying $300 over dealer costs + fees for 2011 10r's.

$20k in 1 minute over on BL.

Never mind I found it. You have to be a member, and I cannot find a link to join with. Is it just for businesses ?
Too slow... lol
Good for all Costco members, I think... Form asks you to check what kind of member you are when requesting an appointment.

You guys are too funny. Here is a modern prep in flat-rate speed:
1. Bend the soft steel crate bars down away and from the bike. I removed about 4 bolts, maybe 8 with an air gun. 5 minutes tops, you punch in, you push bike out, you punch out.
2. Adjust rear chain. Check tire pressure. Top off fuel. Punch out.
3. Wet battery. Charge for 4 hours or rotate same battery off a charger stand. Welp, I guess you can let that battery sit in the box. Last bike out the door. Test ride. Punch out for installing the battery, go around the block and beat crap out of it, here are your sealed rings.
4. Prep and deliver = 20 minutes tops, you flat the fucrate. Don't give me that extended time to install shield and seat cover. 25 minutes, Okay, a half hour to prep times shop hour = $40 bucks if the shop rate is $80 an hour say.
That 40 dollars is already in the setup if you look at full list. They not only can afford to knock off thousands, you should be able to forgo that old assembly crap. There are no wires to hook up but a shield, tail seat and battery. Everything else is do not even top off the oil, the factory did it for you. That is how much gas in the tank? Add that to a few thousand off full list and now work the deal. You have zip to do with the prepping of a 14.

I agree with ya, Hub... Set up is a bunch of BS... but $1500 seams to be the standard here... Didn't pay a penny of that for my '08... but 2012's they will charge and we will pay.

You need to ask to watch where 1500 greedy hands have that much time to justify plain old flat-rate. You know damn well, the mechanic will not receive the standard 50% like it should be. It is more the mechanic is paid the flat rate to pull and wet bike. Never is there that much time for even the most tiny of product and those are a bitch to assemble. So many bags of hardware to bolt up and wires to connect and fold all in whatever place.
I would better business the state board on the guy. Show the flat rate time against his BS. Either that, or walk out with soft bags and full riding gear from head to toe.

Don't forget the extended warranty.

Could always buy a used one for now... let the original owner take the depreciation hit... Buy the 14r when you can negotiate a price you are willing to pay
