1. The sync is off.
You throttle bodies are not synchronized (balanced). They are not taking in equal amounts of air.
2. There are no plug-ins/tie ins to the wire harness of any kind.
No Power Commander or other wiring tapping into/interfacing with the main wiring harness.
3. The ECU may be acting up/slash/going south.
Your ECU may be functioning improperly.
The blending of both the low speed screws and the main throttle sync screw have to be check. We run 4 engines, but technically, we run twin engines if the sync is off. You can look at it as:
The screws of sync adjustment on the throttle bodies.
4 cylinders = 4 engines.
The left T body bores are connected inside(cylinders 1 and 2). The right T-body bores are connected inside (cylinders 2 and 3. When the throttle bodies are not synced, the left bank and the right bank are out of balance. They are two engines, each doing something slightly different than the other.
A. First, I sync both twin engines.
First try syncing the left two throttle bodies to the right two throttle bodies. The
B. Second, I sync the air screws to the twins side/slash/blend 4 cylinders as one sucking pulse. That balance says I suck this much vacuum of air, as will the next cylinder suck the same vacuum of air, we close down the pulse of one, increase the other until the balance is one, stinking, nasty, do not let the throttle blip when they say blip to upset the balance to see if shit, I hit the rev limiter... IT's so freak'inn balanced! Look out!
Sounds like Hub is describing T body sync. All 4 bores adjusted to flow equally.
C. Third is to eliminate a vibe. No, the vibe is still there after the sync.
If you sync your T-bodies and still have a vibe, you can eliminate the T-boddies as the source of the vibration.
D. 4th variable says I look for wheel balance @ 2 ~ 3k? It's not wheel balance.
Check wheel balance.
F. Chain hum-vibe. I did not resync link to chain. New pattern brings on hum/vibe.
Did you recently remove the chain and neglect to match the same link to the same tooth as were matched before. A new ware pattern starts. It does not flow with the old ware pattern.
G. Buzz. I have a PC/pig cutter. Ever since I installed it, she has this buzz through the bars about 2 ~ 3K.
Your PowerCommander or other piggyback device is causing the vibration.
