I am the proud owner of a new 2013 ZX14. What a ride!
I ultimately purchased a California bike (in Ohio) which has the evaporative emission control system. What are the negatives of this system? Does it effect performance, increase maintenance, etc? I have read posts, some say remove it while others say its fine to leave it on. Please weigh in with opinions. Thanks very much.

Popping off 2 hoses is not high maintenance. There is no need to remove the parts. You could look at it as a safety catch bottle for gas. Overfill it and it does the work for you. No performance gain or loss with or without you could detect. No spilling on a hot pipe you tried to route things different. Find the 48 state catch bottle setup so she is away from the potential ________ Fill in the blank.

Is that fatboy a twinkie? I think so. Dual cams and within 30K that tensioner system lets go, does some strange noise is what I hear about this engine family. The update is a screaming eagle kit from the factory. How much, I don't know? 2009 changed into that updated eagle kit. Get tear done or don't come crying to me.
