Advice on rear shock
03/18/13 1:14 PM

Hello gang. So, I have a shock with a Race Tech heavy spring on it and my latest rear tire is cupping pretty bad on the sides. A fella on a ride we took said that I needed to back off my compression damping. I ride fast 2-up pretty aggressive, and I am hoping to get this tire to last a bit. So, any suspension gurus have any advice?
Thanks

Mad

Back off the preload, too. Your damping is not controlling the spring at this point, if the tire is cupping. Just upping the compression damping might not be enough by itself. You may also want to increase the rebound damping as much as the compression.
