Dumping the rear sets
06/20/26 7:59 AM

My first post, I like my 06 ZX-14 I recently bought, however due to a previous injury, I cannot get my right leg on the peg, and reach the brake with my toe. It's very awkward driving like this.
My search on this forum did not help me find the solution, which is to move both pegs and both the brake and the shifter forward like a standard UJM has. Doing just the brake side would look strange, so I need to do both.
Has anyone done this? Did you use parts from another Kawasaki model to move the controls? Is there an aftermarket kit for converting the bikes brake an shifter to a straight up riding position?
I bought the adjustable pegs and it was a complete waste of money, they give you maybe an ich, and do nothing for the brake and shifter levers.
I ask this question because if I cannot resolve this problem the bike has to go, and that would be awful.

I have a used set of Corbin foot peg lowering brackets from my ZX14..
They lower the entire mount on both the brake and shifter side.
It relocates the pegs Out 3/4" inch; Down: 1.5 inches; Forward 7/8 inch.
If you think that might help, get in touch and we'll figure something out.
I used them successfully due to a couple hip operations.
I couldn't ride without them.
