BTW, I think you are talking about dattaway's "how to remove the whole flies and shaft" thread. Yeah, pretty unconventional. No, I don't think I'd do it if it couldn't be put back in. dattaway is a veteran mechanic with an engineering degree and has a lot of great tips though. Too bad he doesn't post as much as he used to.
