Not EVERYONE-me and ROOK-we're still talkin.LOL.You want the short version-guy sold some maps to several members. All of em worked extremely well, except for two(one, a CBR,the other, late model 14 with a PC5 on it).Guy doesn't give refunds($50.00 a map)But is completely willing to work with the unhappy to correct the mapping.Okay-sounds cool. The guys that got "bad"maps were justifiably upset, plus the one guy had to spend another $60.00 replacing his plugs-plus it disrupted his getting together with his family-I'd be upset as well.As soon as this was revealed on the site here-a few members felt they should "run the guy outta town".So.........you can look at the posts under F.A.I.C topic-it'll show ya what happened.Several guys here(including me)felt the stuff going on was outta line-so we ended up with some members sayin-syanara.Understandable as well. You can check it out-not very pretty IMO.So that's about it-except bgordon(the admin)wants to go as well-leave it to someone else.I say he stays. And virtually everyone else here feels the same way.He feels responsible for re-igniting the shitslinging because he stepped up and did the right thing by tryin to get the map builder to come back, and get things back in perspective. But when the guy came back to try and explain and offer his help,he got basically sucker punched again. It isn't gordon's fault-in no way.Just alot of angry stuff occurred. It's blown over pretty much now.Lots of accusations about the guy's motives. Not good.

I've been working another 48 hour shift, so I'll get it in tommorrow and get evrything set up. I'll let ya know tommorrow night. After comparing the maps I don't see any reason for it to have any issues and actually be better all the way around.

i for one hope bgordan dosent walk away from this , yes the boys voiced their opinions, and pretty harshly too. but since then jeff has sold maps to others on this forum and they are happy with the way their bikes are running. so all the bashing against someone who helps the mentally map challenged(like myself)is still getting requests for maps. the only one that lost in this was this forum, by some of the most respected guys on here wanting to walk away and that the shame of all this. mr. gordan im sure im not the only one in here that hopes you reconsider and hang in there with us i would hope the guys trash talking would have enough class to make this a dead subject and lets move on.
thanks guys now lets get the word out to bgordan, sharkey and anybody else that wants to walk away to reconsider

+1 on that Scott.Listen-my bike right now runs awesome-for basically stock,no flies. She'll flat out roll-from zero all the way up the powerband.Great throttle response-no stumbles anywhere,no lack of power anywhere. If this map of Jeff's improves my ride-It's gonna have to be pretty dialed in.I can't imagine my bike running much better than it does.Unless it had some engine work or something similar-I'd say it's about as sharp for the way it's setup now as it could get.I've no idea what she could do in the 1/4,would love to give er a go.

Hi all
and especially bgordon
I have over ten years hands on experience in running a large international motorcycle forum, with thousands of members from all over the world.
My first lesson learned as moderator was NOT to take anything on any forum too seriously, as people posting from the relative anonymous safety of their screen identities will type extraordinary things that in most cases they would never say to anothers face.....
My second lesson learned was that blow ups happen, and that as moderator you must make a choice to do one of two things - either instantly ban the over the top members that are annoying you, or ignore the turmoil and let it run its natural course to a quiet death. I usually tend to the second choice, ignore the turmoil, and let it die, as it can be quite amusing watching and reading the crap people post when they are wound up for no apparent good reason, and often the over the top members are the most interesting.....
my third and most important lesson learned is that absolutely none of this matters, not the least little bit, and if too much attention is paid to emotionally charged issues, people will go elsewhere to other forums, voting with their feet and keyboards that trivial crap like this isn't worth reading, then only to find the crap is also happening on other forums, often worse......
finally, people from all over the world send me racks of Dellortto round slide carbs to strip to bare castings, ultrasonically clean, and build up with all new slides/needles/needle jets/jets, etc. I install hard parts that I KNOW from long experience will work well on their application, ensure all linkages are working correctly and are adjusted correctly, without ever seeing the customers bikes, and then subsequently support the carb rebuilds by telephone, walking people through the fine tuning process, as every bike is different....even valve clearance and ignition timing can have a huge impact on carb setup, and similarly, to fuel injection setup. Usually the feedback I get is that the bike has never run so well, so it makes sense to me that a highly experienced tuner will have a very good idea of a baseline to start with, without ever having seen the bike, assuming that the tuner actually is highly experienced. For $50, I am personally ordering one of jeffo's maps for a PC V, just to have a look at it, compare it to my fuelmoto map, and test it for myself if it makes sense to me. My personal stock ZX 14, when I ran it on the dyno at 600 miles with a sniffer up the pipe taking its readings after two cats and a clean air injection system, still read way rich, I will be looking for a partially leaner map, but I will decide for myself.
so, bgordon, if I were in your shoes I would just ignore the forum outbursts, or if I was really pissed off, I would ban whoever really pissed me off, and then move on with the forum, life is way too short to get anyones knickers in a knot over trivial crap on the internet.
