stealerships
01/19/12 3:15 PM

Made the purchase on an 07 2100 miles for a steal (4500) it has m4 dals. I caled 12 dealerships (no exaggeration) t ask about 0the performacne exhaust. I asked of the Alien Head, Cannon,& M10/m14 exhaust. Not 1 could answer a ?. I know the peformance on hp is so minute that there isn't a big difference. I knowalot of brocks ppl say the customer service. Some say muzzy was made for kawi, and the cannon no1 has. What is the main seperationbetwen te exhaust and which will I get a better deal out of. Power & noise..
It's redic how ppl get paid to be a parts employee & have no idea wtat the hell they are doing! A common response I received was I would find ot more through blogs or they don't deal w/ that high of equipment. What gives? Fellow 14s he'll a guy out.

I can only speak for Brock's CT-duals...

You can them with a package (power commander+ map)
Brock's customer service is excellent
The only bad thing is the price and it has gone up!

Nothing serious im wanting the cannon. I know i can go and do research. But i was hoping some1 could give me serious info. Between the 3 exhaust. And the best mods I should do

It depends of what are you looking for when it comes to pipes. What is your number 1 priority:
1.Poweer
2. Sound
3.Looks
Looks and sound are subjective of course but give us an idea of what you're priorities are and we can help you.

As far as list of priorities go. Here in florida you need a loud exhaust or else!. Watch out. I know all 3 exhaust make a lot of power if properly set up right. So I'm looking for all 3. I am an agressive sport (street) tourer. I'm 6'5 300 lbs so my big ass is only going to get so much response from the bike. So I want to know what the best exhaust would be to have. This is a pers on a gsxr.. I just want to make sure is the proper thing. I know every1 says brocks is the way to go. But so many ppl run that here. Or the m10. In fla is summer basically yr around. I want to rflash the ecu & run an autotune. I'm thinkin w/ the cannon. These stealerships don't lnow anything about them have the least amount of dealings w/ them which make me want it more. So I want to know whic is going to give me the loud gp sound w/ power & proper setup. & what do I need exacty. What's the best situation. & what are the best tires. Been running bt-016's. Thanks for all the help in advance!

+1 on the loud exhaust here in FL and as for tires I found the road pilot 3 to be the best rain tire ever and it gets good mileage I got 8,000 miles out of my last rear! And congratulations on the new bike!!!

Cooter does those tires hold up to aggressive riding?talked with tobiashi of tsukigi cnnon. Makes claims tghat just putting on the exhaust give a cstomer 10hp. Don't believe it. But ehh whatev. Definately going to choose the cannon just for different purposes. I
wish rook would chime in.

Usually the more miles you get the less performance you get. Whatever Cooter is running should be fine though... you guy's don't really have to worry about leaning the bike in FL. If you want the best of both world get these:
Q2's
I just ordered a set. The price is really good. I'm running the Corsa Rosso which are considered best in performance. Basically they are track able/street legal. I don't think they Q2's are going to disappoint though.
For exhaust you could try akrapovic too, their performance gains on the 14 are on their website. The evolution is titanium and produce the most HP but the "RACE" aren't bad either. As far as being unique you won't beat the cannon.

P.S. I'm sure that the Brocks you see a lot are Alien head, have you checked the CT?

I def. Use the search icon. I run the bt-016s right nw. Or been contemplating the pures, but I'm very familiar with te 16s. I like mileage, but we have a few sticky road u can get justa tad bit f lean angle. I was told by a stealership that the aks are the best right now besides brocks. I have checked the cts I like the meg. But shit 2k for it. Whew..! Definately doing my research. I know going to a full exhaust a pc would b the best. I'm sendingthe exhaust to jet hot cause here in florida it can be unbearale. Guys thanks for the info. But I gues when it comes to tires its basically preferance of brand.

The road pilot 3’s hold up very well in aggressive riding on this shell filled road down here in FL and excellent traction in the rain I got 8,000 miles out of my last rear and looks like I will get 16,000 out of the front I do a lot of HARD acceleration and only break hard in emergency

I have to say Cooter is pretty spot on.

The Pilot Road 2s I had on for last season are still good to go for this season, and I did over 8,000 miles last season. Looks like I will double that this coming season.

There is a set of PR3s in boxes in my garage, which will go on when the PR2s start to turn in hard. Thats a give away that they've seen better days.

Since PR3s are better than PR2s in every way, I believe Cooter has it right. My PR2s gave fantastic traction and stability on mountain roads and twisties of all types, and held leaned over enough to scrub front and rear to the sidewall edge.

In the rain, and I rode a lot in the rain or on wet pavement, never felt anything but assured footing from them. One multi-day with the mc, we were coming back home and it was misting. Everyone (everything from Goldwings to Electra Glides and in between) slowed down far too much. I couldn't take it, so I broke group and made it home an hour before they did. The BMW K-1300 came with me, and it turns out he is running PR2s (probably PR3s by now, if I know him - he has a lot of money) too. We didn't even slow down coming home, even in the crooked parts.

definately will check out the road 2. Always have ridden the Bt 016s. Thanks guys for your help. Tsukigi rep told me today some guys who install the cannon w/ no pc said they gain 10 hp and another 10-15 after proper tune. (ripleys believe it or not) the guy im gettin my cannon from says the cannon is not as loud as the A-head.. Sad, but everyone says its the same thing.. What do you guys think? Is the brocks a-head the best thing.
Cooter where is ur location?
