OH--well how 'bout that. There is an HM PLUS SS Lever.
"The seamless shift technology dynamically adapts ‘kill time’ and other parameters in real time to provide the perfect shift – regardless of RPM, load, rider style or gear. "
Looks like the SS model adjusts kill time and possibly sensitivity according to gear, rpm, and other factors. Does it do this automotically while you are riding, or do you have to set it up beforehand?
The HM PLUS has adjustable kill time and sensitivity but you set that up beforehand. You get one kill time for all gears. I'd definitely take the SS with adjustable kill times in all gears whether it was automatic or if it was something that needed to be set up prior to operating the bike. Add that to the ability to adjust for engine load and rpm and I believe that would all but eliminate missed shifts. It's another $200 but well worth it if it works. ....but then maybe you want to go all the way to the GP....although I'm pretty sure that is not available in the lever/strain gauge/LCD module all in one config.
