Yes I did. OK, one page or section. I may have popped the valve cover at 600 miles not knowing the interval. I'll read the next manual as well. You just never know the leaps in metallurgy.

Yes, I read it before riding it. I was new to sportbikes, so I wanted to get an idea of what I was getting into before jumping on it and going. It also had a lot more gizmos than my old Honda Magna V65.

I read mine. I still read it and the SM pdf I downloaded soon after (thanks BnB).

I didn't follow everything but I read it. Some things like the recommended break in are crazy. I feel most of the stuff is important though. This was the first vehicle I ever owned that I gave 2 sh!ts about so I really wanted to care for it well.

I replied in the other post, but I'll put .02 in here too. I look for the things I need to know, torque specs, chain slack, etc.. in the owners manual. As far as "reading" it, no.

Too many ZX-14-specific nomenclature not to read the manual, IMO. I didn't read every single page, but things like setting the clock, maintenance, when to worry about fuel/heat, I thought were good things to know.

I especially loved the useful information like recommended shift point into 6th gear at 37 mph or something retarded like that...more like 137 LOL!

1+ For the load.

WOT and WATT the lock down will be down the road will be your factory forcing the break-in. Then you stop with the case damage when that stops the parts from reaching the war between the break-in and the break-out of the case is closed.

Envy Steve 2 plus. I would have a few visit my rack; set the cams and sync. I could not wait to test ride those V65's. WOT a hard on bike. Can't keep the front end down and just 14's that year.

Once I go home, I thumbed through the manual because the 14 is my first high performance sport bike. Then took it out for it's first spin!
