You will love them, ten minute install and they are way lighter than stockers as an added bonus. If you like to corner your 14 hard while weighting the outside peg you will notice the effect instantly, none of tht vague feedback you get from the rubber stockers. I felt a much better connection to the bike, well worth $29 bucks IMHO.

No, no, the peg is as high or higher than stock, the 1/2 inch comes from not having the fat rubber pad on there.Look at the way they're slash cut for increased cornering clearance. These pegs are awesome, rode with them this afternoon and no cornering issues, the ball of your foot rests right on the front edge of the peg, much better feel than the stockers. I highly recommend these.
Gotcha! Didn't think the absence of Rubber would lower your feet that much!

I'll get a side by side pic of the two DragKing, it's a fairly substantial difference in a place where sometimes a few mm's can make a difference in comfort. Bike now has a sporty feel to it that it lacked before, a direct connection, don't know why I took so long to do this. I considered rearsets but I think unless you're taking it to the track, this makes more cents(sic).

What is the vertical and rearward displacement on the Gilles rearsets?

On my ZRX I used to steer with the footpegs.Kind of like countersteering.Tried it a few times on the 14 but it didn't seem to be as effective.

Thanks for posting those for me Rook, I couldn't get them to post from my iPhone.
@ DragKing, you can see clearly now how the billet pegs are shorter, thinner and with more taper than the stock pegs. Big improvement all around.

yep! And they are retractable which is a good thing on the 14... Just scraping the asphalt with my shoe unsettled the bike some so scraping pegs is scary, I would worry about it at triple digit but because my pipes get louder it could be trouble if I don't hear it touching down! Looks like I will be outgrowing the 14 pretty soon. Time for a liter!
Oh, I measured the gilles a little while back, I think it was thread by Rook or Somefun, I couldn't find it but will measure later tonight or tomorrow am.

the measuring method i came up with is at the top.
seems to me you need to measure from the centerline of the bike from th floor to the tip of the peg. The bike needs to be vertical.
the distance the peg sticks out is makes more difference than the height.

Twisted Throttle and Wild Hair Accessories sell MFW - Vario adjustable footpegs for the ZX14.
They come in 22mm (7/8") lower and 30mm (1.25") lower rider pegs and a 50mm (2") lower passenger peg. I've got the 30mm(1.25in) "silver racing" pegs on my Triumph Sprint and they have made a tremendous difference in knee comfort vs stock. They adjust forward and back to suit the rider. I plan to get them for my ZX14R this winter when I install new cans.
