Bad I’m with you…. I will take a little less power and reliability every time. I’m done fix motors and not riding. I’m willing to pay extra for a bike that is engineered to kick ass right outta the gate. Hope on her and take her on a 2500 mile ride and when it rains now worries about issues…….Been there done that.
I talked to my dealer the other day and they are heading to a dealer meeting in about a week and a half so we should know everything we need to (I’m Hoping) by then…..

yes sir a road trip on a turbo bike. 1st lets hope the turbo oil seal stays together or the scavenger pump don't take a shit. always got to have good gas and no worries about the 15mpg remember fat and happy. hope no fuel lines issues or the boost stays good and don't leak . waste gate don't screw up . yeap non turbo owners don't understand a 1000 mile road trip with a turbo bike

Ok, here's the H2 street version and it's a real head scratcher. With only 207 BHP and claimed wet weight of 524 lbs, I don't want one, especially at a price point of $25,000. Looks like the Mothership dumbed down the H2R way too much. What is this bike for, too heavy and too low HP to set the world on fire and I can buy two new left over ZX-10Rs for $25,000, one for street and one for the track. Back to the drawing board Mothership, I'm gonna just have to say no on this one....next!

very nice. A literbike that is 25 lighter than a Gen1 14 and by the looks of it, darned near as long wheel base. No thanks. Great looking bike.

Maybe there are secrets that need to be discovered but so far, not impressed.

The new R1 is claimed 220 HP and light as a 600, that's the one to watch, it's supposed to be a BMW killer, time will tell. Mother Teapot screwed the pooch if that 524 lb curb weight and $25K price tag is accurate. There's a whole lot of more desirable machines out there for that kind of money IMHO.

This bike looks wicked, the spec sheet is impressive. If it delivers the goods, it may just knock BMW off it's perch. Kawasaki look out, time for a ZX10R redesign. Honda and Suzuki are going to be left behind.

If the R1 is NA and making 220 hp, I think Kaw took an asswhoopin on this one. All the facts won't be out for a while. We won't know the whole story for at least a year.

Agreed, where is that 220 HP measured from? Regardless, this bike is a clean sheet redesign and is bristling with advanced electronic technology. I like the styling and the weight and pricing are competitive. I wish KHI had invested in a new ZX-10R rather than the H2. I just don't get the H2/H2R concept, where does it fit in and what's the point? It's not a literbike and it doesn't fit the mold of a hyperbike IMHO. For that kind of weight they could have built in some wheelbase and comfortable ergonomics. I can jump on a 14 or 14R and do a 300 mile road trip but the H2?

Yep, this bike is going to the top of the class, may become the new King of the Hill, I'm excited for Yamaha, we know they know how to build a great MotoGP machine with the M1, it was about time the tech trickled down to their sportbikes.

Suzuki has to respond and Honda as well, expect new products soon. KHI shot their R Nd D budget on the H2 project, I'm afraid the ZX-10R is years away from a makeover. It's a good bike but now a four year old platform with no significant updates other than bold new graphics.

Where's the 120ft/lbs my manual says I should be getting?

I'll tell you where... along the shoreline during a high pressure weather system.

So the ZX-10 is old news now along with the BMW. Oh well, still good enough for me. I'd still get a used ZX-10 in a few years if the time is right.

R1 is definitely starting to grow on me, just wish they'd gone with solid red lowers, not a fan of the white. Pipe looks OK for a stocker, reminiscent of the GSXR 1000 pipe. A Graves or Yoshimura full system will sort that nicely. All the pieces are there, just need to see what kind of power it will produce after it actually get's here. I'm guessing close to 180 rear wheel HP which will be enough but concerned about where that power will be, all top end, something similar to the S1000RR? If they tapped into the M1 DNA it should be a handler. Anyway, it's refreshing to see the Japs fighting back against BMW and giving us a fresh choice.

I'm going to go on record as saying the new H2 is going to be an epic fail. How many folks are going to drop $25K on a 524 pound curb weight bike that is essentially a straight line machine? I predict pitiful sales figures on this one, KHI you dropped the ball. Go back to the drawing board and pump up the ZX-10R then I'll be interested but stay away from the goofy transformer styling and keep it clean, no bat mobile looks.

I agree with everything you said about the H2 in your last post. No bike needs wings. The rest of the H2 looks great. The R1 in blue with the oversized R1 emblem is vey cool but I'm not sure I like that white with the red. Probably look betteragainst a darker background. It reminds me a lot of the 10r except Yammi went with a rounded nose. I still prefer the look of the 10r and if it's lighter, I think I'd buy that. Yeah, it is very refreshing to see some bikes that will stomp the s1000. I'm still more intrigued with the 600s. It'll be nice to see how the new tricks fit into the development of the supersports.

NOPE. Beemer pumped the power to 199 hp and reduced the weight, steering angle, rake has been improved. Cruise control!!! Even our hyper bikes don't have that. Heated grip, lean angle indicator, dynamic suspensions etc. The ZX-10 and the GSX-R 1000 are the only bikes left behind. Honda is coming with something new (straight from MotoGP) as well. Heck, even the 1199 Panigale is now the 1299 Panigale and has been improved.

I agree with you Kruz. The H2 has a longer wheelbase, but still the ergos are unforgiving for guys like us. I am not sure what Kawasaki was thinking about. Best case scenario they are testing technology and will transfer the goodies to the ZX-10 and ZX-14. Just like BMW did with the HP4.

By the way, they are saying the H2 is about 98 tq and 200 HP! Why bother with the weight of a supercharger then?
No wonder they chose to go minimalistic when it comes to the fairing. I can't believe my 14 is lighter.

No, the H2 can't replace either the 10R or 14R. That's the million dollar question, what is it for?

Yeah if there's a legitimate reason for those wings, I could get into 'em.

If not, I'll have to state that they're just silly.

Of course I had a '76 Trans Am with crap like that all over it, but it had a bad ass V8 engine with gobs of power ... 200 HP!!! ... Oh wait, that's the same as my 14R

(Whoops, sorry I posted. Forgot I was banned!!!)

Read the last few posts on this thread. I can't see it replacing the 10r unless it drops a hundred pounds. i think it's a poser bike. that's what most people do on the most powerful bikes made so why not make one to top them all? I'm sure it will be a great bike but I don't see it being a track bike.
