If it’s going to be the fastest and most powerful bike of “our time” I don’t see them doing that with a SC750……But At least I’m line with a ticket for the show! Lol I went down and gave my sales guy a deposit today……If she's a 1000cc my 10 will have to go.....This will not be a garage queen she will be ridden and ridden hard but I'm thinking I'll be the one put away wet.....

Kawasaki Ninja H2 Insider Confirmation: Engine

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A friend of a friend with inside connections to KHI has let me in on a secret or two regarding the Ninja H2. With great risk I do want to share this information with you but do keep in mind that I cannot reveal everything to you without threatening to expose my friend of a friend.

Without further ado lets start where everyone wants to, what engine will Kawasaki pack between your legs?

How do you like the sounds of a centrifugal supercharged 1,000cc Inline 4 making north of 222 bhp (225 PS, 165Kw)? Because according to Kawasaki that’s just what you’re going to get. The engine is said to be its own ground up design and not based on either the 1,043cc from the Ninja 1000, nor the 998cc ZX-10R.

To put that in perspective, the MV Augusta F4R 312 (the current top speed record holder for production bikes) is making a MERE 190 hp, the ZX-14R brings a lowly 210 bhp to the table, while the Hyabusa holds fast at 195 bhp. What will be interesting is if Kawasaki is willing to shatter the Japanese gentleman’s agreement limiting top speed to an even 300 km/h?

We still suspect Kawasaki might be sharing some components from one of their other two current liter class engines, the 1,043cc ZR1000 series (Ninja 1000 / Z1000) or 998cc ZX1000 series (ZX-10R). Whatever the engine’s true origins, we’ve been 100% assured that this thing will be absolutely the quickest and most powerful Kawasaki motorcycle of all time, by far.

Stay Tuned.

To recap what Ricky Gadson said today:

- It will be faster than anything ever made on 2 wheels

I glad I don't have no stock in rickey's sayings

Cause that's a flat out lie

lol HYPE! Where is Dogo when you need him?

@Rook: I had to start laughing loud, when I read your last sentence! lmao

Just a tad over the Superleggera not more and that's if we are lucky.

If I had to listen to RG for the ZX-14R launch, I would have been more disappointed as well, I'm not going to follow him on this one either

I heard similar number on the ZX-14R before it came out to find out true HP was more around 186-190 HP stock.

The first mod to become common knowledge among serious sport riding owners is how to disable the speed limiter. Depending on the bike, there can be a few different methods, some of which cost nothing. Sure, they might make a bike that does a little over 187 mph out of the box like BMW did but they have no reason to sell it derestricted.

Whatever the engine’s true origins, we’ve been 100% assured that this thing will be absolutely the quickest and most powerful Kawasaki motorcycle of all time, by far.

Of all time means "up to 2015." By all indications, there will be a 2016 and all the current motorcycle companies will presumably still be in business. They'll match it. It will become the new standard but I don't think it will be a once in a lifetime offer limited to 500 bikes produced.

^^Unless they sell them for 100,000/piece and even then, they'd have to sell a several thousand all over the rest of the world to make some kind of a profit. Maybe they will have 500 bikes for the US with a special graphics package and some aftermarket stuff and then the ordinary model for 10% less.

@Rook: I had to start laughing loud, when I read your last sentence! lmao
Well, it's true, Honda has been making pretty much the same bike for 10 years and stayed competitive with the other liter bikes.

^^^ yeah but at the same time they can't make a ZX-10 killer and sell it to everybody. How much money have they invested in the ZX-14R and the ZX-10 R? Loads of those bikes on the dealers floors. There won't be that many me think and they will be well over 20k. The 2015 ZX-10 is 16k, a S1000RR with heated grip is 17k, KAW is not going to add an SC to a new platform and make it affordable to a 16 year old with a summer job! Beemer has the HP4 (scarce), Ducati the Superleggera (rare). KAW knows that their direct concurrence is the Europeans and that's what they are going after. They developed a good TC with the ZX-14 R and the ZX-10 R and are going to use the information on the H2.

I rather this last past winter. Now what?

There is something about that honda beating shit out of the other brands come GP time. Then, they trickle down that into some production bike and get someone like Hailwood on it, wait, I meant, Joey Dunlop, hold on, I'll get it, who is getting close to Dunlop's record and what brand bike was he on for most of those TT's?

He laughed....

And then honda comes out with an exercise bike and just blows away that, 'in your lifetime' comment. But alas it was just an exercise who really IS the hose we begin to speak monster.

Badzx14r, comparing the H2 to a purpose built top speed bike, is silly doncha think? Obviously the RG quote should be taken to mean production or factoy built bike. Or maybe he meant quickest rather than fastest.

And yes, they can build less than 500 units if this is a pissing contest example, and they just want to throw down the gauntlet and bitch slap everyone else. Cost be damned. IE the Bugatti reference. You can buy one of those for what? 2 million? BUT they cost 4.5 million or so to make. Again, Kawi may just be using this yardstick to measure their weiner's.

As for everyone else stepping up to build one, or one better? PLEASE. Susucki hasn't even matched the zx14r yet. You think a competitor is coming for the H2?

I see this bike being the HP4, panigale r, or maybe superleggera killer. Hopefully its at the lower end of this price scale, but HP4's are 25+, the 1199 R is 30k+ and the Super is what? 65k? If you can buy one.

Best thing to want now is the technology and the blower to trickle down to the next gen hyperbike. AKA zx15r or whatever. Give us that bike, which people thought was going to be the zx14r and make it supercharged with the electronics of the H2 for under 20K and then its a winner.

Well, my source tells me its 0 to 60 is going to break records.
My source also states that it comes with 2 skewer sticks.
My source states that there is no plastic used it is so fucking hot.
My source confirmed 10 modes at least. One for road kill burger style. One blade pitch and it's sausage cut. Mode 4 sends the skin covering and that's where the skewers come in with a drip pan off the collector.
My source said it's a touring bike like no other.
My source says medium well is 230mph and keep hitting the rev limiter in neutral for well done.
My source said they are working out the bugs with the next top model. Something about how to cook things faster before the rod flies out.

Beyond belief Hype:

Has to be the fastest 0 to 60 production bike ever.
Has to have another type of valvetrain than shim under/over the buckets or nut/screws at a rocker arm.
Has to eliminate the chain drive and tensioner system.
Has to eliminate the drive chain to be beyond belief.

Susucki hasn't even matched the zx14r yet

It all depends on sales. They don't have to match anything until they loose enough sales to the competition. They waited two years to upgrade the busa when the gen1 14 cam out. I'm sure they have a few ideas for the next gen busa.

Hub, rumour has it KHI went with seven articulated dingle rods to transfer torque to the rear bifurcated duct on that aft drip pan molding, should be worth at least 25 HP dontchathink?

Agreed but so sad that they had to cheat with a blower to beat out a naturally aspirated BMW. I would have been much more impressed if they'd built a Tom Sykes Replica ZX-10R that would smoke the Beemer, I'd be standing in line!

NO , Saying the h2 is the fastest motorcycle ever made on 2 wheels is silly.

the 500 production comment I'm sure is to "special editions" but rickey's to stupid to say that. I'm sure there will be a ton of base models made. but hey I can admit when I'm wrong

Kruz I think they are way better off using the super charger instead of trying to do it naturally asprated….by increasing the bore or changing the stroke. These motors are pretty serious already and the further they push them the can tend to become a hand grenade and lose the reliability. With the SC you can run relativity low boost and achieve big power not to mention at a lower RPM. I Love my 10 to death but I would love more low end and mid like my ZX14……

WATT I do not see out of that SC is pack of wires. I can see a few electronic spooling modes if this was both a speed me up and a pitch me quick blade-ing we will go, hi/low the the dairyo. You've gotta milk my valvetrain and I bet it is not being pushed open via oil assist. That says no bent valves via spooling or the gps has that misshift covered.

Beyond belief is we have a 14,000 rpm redline and it begins there. So 16,000 rpm would be up there in the beyond belief. Nit pick that fucking bike with no higher an rpm, same old shims, no spooling effect as per skidoos chasing air so it spools over atmosphere sort of gets it rolling and no lag @ 14,000ft of elevation?

Special Beyond Edition has the oiled valve opening, the electric motor spooling, the 16,000 rpm redline. And that engine family is a shrunken down Keith Black v-8 is making 10,000 HP these days... 4 the fucking cylinders my ASSpirated!!!!

Bee YAAAAAAAAAWN Blow ME! Rickey is out of order. 1bad is out of order. Dis whole town is out of order!

I believe Silver is correct. Remember that 1-mph difference between bikes that one year? I look over your cubical, you look over mine. And it was the silver 14 that would keep the suz at bay as a matter of fact. What a joke that was. What a joke this will be... Looking back.

Right now, you are blind and want it bad. If I know Sil, he'll come to the same conclusion it's slow so that makes 2 of us. 2+2 was too easy. Now it's a 0 to 60 under 2 seconds challenge. You want quick, right Sil?

Now it's a 0 to 60 under 2 seconds challenge.

I remember saying a while back the tire technology won't support more acceleration.

Maybe they've reduced the total mass to compensate?
