I have to agree with silver. If it ends up being as awesome as they are claiming. I'm sure the pretend spoiler fins com off. They have to, where else would they put the mirrors and flashers? Oh God , I hope the fins don't double as mirrors and flashers. That would be dreadful.

It looks like Kawasaki have gone down the Ferrari/Lamborghini mentality of body work.

Those motor vehicles are designed for premium performance only and all the wings, spoilers and bodywork do jack at street speeds but at the top end of performance they come into their own and do a very specific job.
All this also achieves an amazing look while standing still.

But I guess with the new H2 look, that's in the eye of the beholder.
At least wait for the pics of all angles of the bike before making final calls...

From what I see so far, outstanding.

Kawasaki are claiming their new project is ground breaking in all areas.
Why should that not include bodywork design?

I'm with Rook, the "Winglets" are LAME.

This thing will have to polarize opinion in the looks department or it's just another knockoff. That front end looks totally badazz, if the rest of the bike is this innovative it should be awesome, almost beyond belief! My question remains though, what class does it fit into since it's not legal for road racing? I'm guessing it is the next generation hyperbike with performance untouchable by any liter category race rep, strictly for the speed junkie who wants to own the fastest production machine on the planet. Seeing the aero effects, I'm guessing bye-bye to the 186 mph gentleman's agreement on speed, those lift spoilers are designed for 200+ mph.

Closed course-R = Over 200 hp for 'acceleration purposes like no other.'
H-2 = A hump over 200 hp whereas the marketing committee has blown it again.

First lagging subs, then straightened out.
First 300hp bike, and the H2 lags on the showroom floor a warmed over 14 hangs with it.

She/ane and Cap10 need to spool up to the H2-R or stay home.
14 = Drag bike-wink0wink
H2 = Miler and a 1/2-wink0.
Cash waiting = Electric motor your ass is like kawi lost that title... Down the road mark my words they don't lag behind the WATT rides.

Now all this talk about aerodynamics and high speed stability. There have been plenty of boosted bikes making over 300 hp. How come they never needed wings? You want to tell me no one has ever ridden a liter bike over 200 with factory fairings and no wings? The bodywork looks aerodynamic enough but if you ask me, it was designed to look sharp and angular rather than to optimally slip through the air which is what Kaw is known for and why the busa has always been more the instrument of choice for top speed.

Second thought, maybe you should wait Kruz. If making the fastest bikes in batches of 500 becomes the norm, there will be more of these made by other manufacturers and possibly better. I think Wolfman's idea is good. Buy a used one when you know all the info. Either that or just turbo the 14.

What I do definitely like is that Kaw is addressing the conundrum that has always vexed us, How to get a hyperbike to handle like a liter bike. Short wheel base is great but let's just see how much it weighs.

This is money is no object, Rook. Wind tunnel results like you dyno an engine. Remember, 120mph is enough to lift a plane off the ground. The busa top end came off the conventional way. Lose a piston you pop the top cover and meet the next round on the rebuild. Pulling the engine and splitting cases is too much time. They are on par with each other give or take the argument with the zx12.

If forgot to look to see if this is a top end bike or a case splitter?

i'll get a wreck one when available I want the power plant to play with. I like the way people say the frame on a zx14 was to weak to turbo . but look at the shit the H2 has for a frame on the race model. really not much of a frame . looks like you can take any old 10 speed bicycle and put a 1000cc motor and turbo it and things be fine

Here is a bike that will be an investment in happiness as well as a financial investment. If they only make 500, you can bet the used ones will sell for almost as much as when they were new...if they turn out to be as good as they are saying. They might even appreciate in value if no one steps up to challenge Kawi. Maybe this is the big last hurrah before the electric bikes take over.

cause just think if 500 was all they was going to make do the math . 500 x $30,000 = $15,000,000 .00 divided by 20% profit = $3,000,000.00 net profit - designing , tooling, advertising ,taxes . now do you think KHI design this bike for a 1.5 million dollar profit. which is like $15.00 to us

doesn't seem to make sense for them to do that. But the guy who commented several days before this bike came out said Kaw could do this just to win the biggest dick contest. He was on the money with his predictions about the trellis frame and single sided swingarm. Maybe he knows something. If Bugatti has opperated in the red for years, maybe Kaw has done it just this one time to win over a following?

I don't like it! I don't like the exposed motor, the wings and too much carbon fiber. The only way I would change my mind is if I could ride it. However, I read somewhere else that they were selling only 10 in the UK and they were going for 40k. Looks like Kawasaki made this bike for bragging rights. Maybe the technology will trickle down to the ZX-10 R and the ZX-14 R.

The H2 will be the Bugatti of the motorcycle world. A cheater bike. Straight line speed for sure, don't think it will be the best corner carver out there.

The S1000RR got a facelift (hasn't grown on me yet), more HP, more linear TQ, better quick shifter, Yamaha doesn't appear to have an extra card up their sleeve, Honda... and the ZX-10 R remain the same. For regular folks, the S1000RR is still the bike to beat. I thought the ZX-10R was close with the wire mod but I didn't know about the Bren Flash. click.
