Silver.
No one knows what you want.
You definitely don't know what you want.
You've named more bikes you would prefer to the ZX14 than I've had hot dinners and still your mind changes everyday.
And now youre ripping into the H2.
As you been nothing but negative towards the brand it is blatantly clear you are not a Kawasaki fan.
Seriously man.
Do us all a favour and get the fuck off this site...

interesting what HUB says about "the high end sports market has died off" (in the US) because in Europe its been slowing to a crawl for some time. Honda sold only a little over 500 Fireblades in the first eight months of 2014 across the whole of Europe. By contrast Kawasaki sold around 500 ZX14's in the UK alone in the same period and with virtually no competition its likely good numbers will continue. Honda appear to have given up advertising the Fireblade and concentrate their budget on the fuel efficient 700's and little bikes to encourage new entrants and the growing number of female riders. Suzuki are discounting big bike prices like there is no tomorrow and the R1 with its gas guzzling cross plane engine is also well down the charts. Against this background the KHI Board need all the good luck they can manage with the H2 and any 14 replacement when it comes as certainly in Europe, BMW Ducati and even Triumph have carved a niche that will be hard to penetrate. I for one hope big K succeed.

Interesting commentary Taffs.

for Europe

in merica we drive 12mpg diesel pick'em up trucks and ride load pipe cruisers with a few sports bikes keeping the police busy.

Europeans have never done that. well maybe the police chasing sportbikes part . but ghostrider is in jail now or dead 10 years since heard from

I think there are two choices to make. Limited production and if it sells it sells. If it sits, all the better, no huge loss on the limit by cutting losses. If it sells for the everyman price, can't keep them on the floor is choice two. A hard economic decision is all pending on that price. Once known, the public will make the final call to the sitting or selling of said unit.

me too. I need more info on the boost specs . like if boost is just controlled by a waste gate and a $50.00 Spring can give you 100rwhp. I'm sure kawi has designed something that be tamper proof it just couldn't be that easy

W-gate spring = No sensor on the gate means it has no idea the pressure. If the gate has a sensor then it's back to a map that says blow off at said X to Y and you change that number on the map.

Throttle-Sub = That reversengineering is as good as saying it WAS a sub-throttle. So back to the map. That sub is going to open slow like a sub that is now the main. Only one fly in the ointment and you are stuck unless you speed the throttle-sub, meaning, reverse the map numbers and all penultimate is doing is waiting to get in you match bellcrank speed.

blow off is only happening when close throttle so unless a closed loop EFI then that sensor is worthless. it be regulated by a 5lb spring I betcha and blow off when you pull vacuum

WOT blowoff am I thinking of? I make linear pressure so I need to limit that pressure is watt I was thinking we have a sensor to stop the pressure rise [blowoff] is what I was theorizing.

I see no 02 off the R and probably won't have one for the euro market being closed course and tunable. I doubt the 02 will be on the H2 as is the 14R never turned closed loop here on the western side. Euro side most likely euro4 spec if that's the current emission standards?

I believe that based on the pics and it being a gear or shaft driven centrifical supercharger, its going to be a PITA to get more boost out of it.

Gear drive is in the motor, no pullies to change like a street car kit. If they change boost levels between the street model and the R "race" model, people that want to get back that lost HP are going to be in for a surprise. Have to pull the motor, and regear the 'charger drive. YUCK. Lets HOPE NOT.

Lets just hope that based on this pic you can unbolt the blower and access the gear drive inside that housing w/o pulling the motor.

so, does that mean you're getting one? Definitely would be something a little different. I'm not so excited about the street model because I think it's going to be almost as heavy and have less hp than a boosted 14 but it is an exquisite looking bike.

Rook that thing will be about the same weight as the 10R and have way more power than anything out there stock....it will handle close to the 10 but have the low end power like the 14.....for crazy riding it can't get better. I love my 14 BIG time but she's a big girl and no where near my 10R as far as total performance. But don't get me wrong after 150 miles on the 10 my ass is saying enough already! lol where as my 14 it takes 800 miles before that happens. the H2 will be in between the two I think....Hope its more towrds the 10R in size though.

We'll see, Somefun. I haven't heard any specs on weight yet and I can see from the pics, the wheelbase is longer than your average 1000. To tell you the truth, I'm not all that impressed with what the test rider is doing on the track in this vid. The straightaway seg looks fast but he's not even touching a knee in the corners except that low speed one near the end. You can't pass judgement based on one video but I'd think if they wanted to convey the idea that this is going to be a great track bike, they would get somebody on there who could drag a knee ...unless its not really that trustworthy of a cornering machine.
