So everyone that has installed a PC and revved 100% throttle to set it is due for a bombed motor ...........

I've not yet installed the manual cam chain tensioner on bike 2......this may motivate me to do so sooner.

posts: 7 Somebody is a little full of himself. NONE of the expert track riders/instructors I met were the least bit condescending to street riders, although they would probably agree that nobody knows what FAST really is until they have been on a track. Even the Novice class goes very fast compared to street riding.

don't sweat it yannih. You obviously know your way around a track. You look just as good on your 14 as that ZX-6 or 10 or whatever it is.

My track bike has 16k miles. I'm a licensed racer and on track days I run in expert group. My lap times are 10 seconds behind ama guys, which I'm proud of. My motor doesn't blow up. Compared to me anybody else is slow and when they tell me how fast they are I have to politely walk away so I don't put them in their place. I assure you that even if your bike spent it's whole life on the track you still didn't push it hard. You just think you do. Novices always think that. its just like how street riders think they're fast. They don't have a clue what fast is. And street riders think that track day guys are abusing the bike. I can't express enough how street riders just don't understand and I'm not going to spend the time teaching them. So I defend track riding and now I politely bow out of this discussion because I truly do not want to hear unknowledgeable responses. Thank you. Bye

My trollometer is spiking with a 99.995% probability.

Geez...

I don't remember saying "I pushed the bike harder than most" or "I'm fast on the track".
I recall the contrary.
My whole point was I didn't believe I had done anything that the average ZX-14 rider had done.
And Hub also gave it to me for understating my ability!

But after a comment like "compared to me anybody else is slow", I guess I won't worry too much about it...

haha, yeah, I think it was directed at Hub's idea that the motor was taking a thrashing. I think all of the sport bikes are really tough but it is true that when the 14s blow (and let's face it, we've heard of a few), 9/10 x it's when they are under full power.

VicThing, sweetfa65, and Rook:

I find you insulting. But I will not lower myself to insult you as well. Your degrading comments are not welcoming to new people on this forum. Reread my post. You will see that I am defending the owner of a blown motor who is accused of abusing his bike. Hub even said to yannih "Be honest" and cited sporty parts insinuating that Yannih is lying to us.

Additionally My example of how much hard use a bike can take is used to demonstrate that this is not abuse. Even running an engine at full throttle and frequently near full rpms should not blow it up.

Yes I have 7 posts here. But that does not make me less correct than you (Rook) just because you have upwards of 10 thousand posts. Ever notice the quiet Asian boy who consistently scores 100s on his tests and never talks? Do you get the analogy?

VicThing, to call me a "Troll" and for others to join (sweetfa65) in is to make yourself look like an insecure loser in a schoolyard picking on the new kid. You both are immature. And if this forum wants to welcome new members they will censor you. Have a happy day. Be kind to somebody who is defending the owner of a blown motor and called a liar without evidence. That's just plain wrong. Dont be insecure. Grow up.

Well Douglas!!! If you come on a forum as a new member and start trying to shove down the throats of the forum how you are the fastest rider around, along with your supposed "helpful" comments..... then prepare to be treated as the condescending ass that you apparently are. You clearly insult the majority of the riders on this forum who are "street riders who wouldn't have a clue what fast is". Don't expect to talk like an ass and get treated like a brain. If you find my comment insulting, telling me that your feelings are hurt is somewhat pointless, given that it was my intention to insult. Drop the attitude and insults, and you might get a much more favorable response.

Well Doug,

Page 19 paraphrasing says:
'Kit bearings are improved in anti-seizure properties as well as wear resistant barriers than standard inserts.'

http://www.factorypro.com/manuals/Kaw,KRT,zx6r,zx10r,05-07,Mk2,lateKRT/zx6r,07,Racing_Kit_Manual.pdf

WOThe FuKithe fuck were you thinking? Be honest. You think that 14 has hotrod bearings or production bearing inserts? I'm going to guess the rods are in the cheap seats and out the case they come, in case you think different about ringing its neck out.

G'day Lads,
Sometimes we say things we shouldn't and sometimes we don't say things we should.
But lets not sweat it and have a go at each other as the result from this thread is a good one and I'm really happy with the result.

I have copied this message from the "2006 -->2009 Engine Swap" thread.

"Just got back from a 3 day ride with the boys and the new engine is an absolute cracker!
I was concerned that that tight factory feel might be gone but there was nothing to worry about.
Silky smooth and great pulling power.
That Dyno tune was money well spent.
Very very happy.
Long live 2009 engines!!!"

Hey Yannih. That's great that you got the big girl pulling again. Enjoy all it has to offer. You're right..... I'd usually lift the bat and let it go through to the keeper. Batter up! lol

Guess this pretty much proves me right. I imagine you'll read this. But you might not reply. Hmmm we'll see.
