Jeeze guys, you got me Jealous. Took my gen 1 out to the track 2 days ago, first time with it on an unprepped track Stock gen 1, stock exhaust and only mod is a Healtec Quickshifter and the best I could get was a 10.46 at 130.9mph. Best 60" was 1.95sec. Tried launching harder but just got wheelspin.
Guess I got lots to learn. Im also around 260lb suited

Bugsy, Tire and tire pressure will help with wheel spin.. That and finding the correct launch rpm.. It does take some practice to get both throttle and clutch working together .Track prep can be huge . I began with the 14 , launching at 3500.

Awesome Chrly! So your 60ft. reflects a cold track or possible tire spin but your 660 MPH increase is huge. It was really pulling, was this pass later in the day when it was colder? If it was it suggests you may be a tad rich as it made more power with the colder, denser more oxygen rich air? Just a guess from here but great gains no matter how it happened!

Rick... This was first pass of teh day in the late afternoon just as temps started to drop. Current map was done in teh summer about 40 degrees warmer . The next runs were mostly spin ups as I was having trouble holding steady launch rpms ( 5000rpm ) My next item for teh bike is a recorder so my tuner can make teh proper adjustments.. And yeah.. to an old guy, this thing is scary fast on the way it starts pulling after it settles down :)
I always appreciate your input, btw :)

Dropped a few more numbers :) In creased launch to 6K .. still searching for the exact combo but temps and track surface change rapidly at this time of year.. we start at 4 pm or so and usually run until just past dark..

Thanks Rick..Will get some more track time week of the 21st (Wed) and again on the 23rd and 24th..We have been having fun ( family and friends) trying to best demonstrate one hundredth or one thousandth of a second :) so far we figured I need to reach the finish 17.5 feet sooner than my 9.077.

We have a bike night on 12-Jan so fingers crossed. My son recently ran 10.24 on my gen1 14 so we are looking to get that bike into the high 9s soon. My gen2 is stock bar slip-ons and it's fighting me off the line, best for me so far in 10.41. I am disappointed with the gen2 times but it is early days yet, I am looking for a 4:1 for it then will look for a flash for it. Then hopefully we can unleash some better times

I have put the stock swingarm back on as my original; goal was sn 8 ticket with a stock arm and no power adders.. Don know why I put that arm on ..anyway we are waiting on rain to stop in California First race on New Years has been canceled and rain predicted for the following weekend so wait....wait...

OZ... best SWB was 9.25 and best after change to extended was 9.077. But I was having a difficult time finding correct launch rpms and gearing with the extended arm..
I had raced teh 14 for 6 yrs and it seemed like improvements were .00? at a time on each outing . I wanted originally to get the SWB into the 8s and shud have not switched to the ext,arm .. I have gone back now because my PRIMARY goal is that 8 sec ticket :).

I finally got some time to review my quickest and fastest season ever. We were shut down for 26 months for covid so we ran as a non-points season. 1 win and 2 runner ups here's my best 7
P.S. chrly's my inspiration hoping at 64 I've still got plenty of years to run...

@chrly - awesome work mate, Im a long way behind you, good luck and I hope you get there soon :)
My son ran 9.89 at his first meeting on his 2012 14R so we are very happy to get into the 9s early on, while knowing it is capable of so much more. Fun times ahead :)
@Fordtech58 - vehicle details would be great :)
