ROOK!!!
Man you got an eye for weight savings! HAH
I am all over that like a cheap suit. Now that I am down to only one, I suppose I should get on with actually installing the damn sexy thing. I saw a kid at the gym with his plate mounted forward in the undertail area. He had it leaning bottom edge forward and I gotta say it looked pretty cool. Might try that along the way; (more centralized weight distribution. Perfect.) a few more mods to the Ironhead's Race Spec Tail Tidy and voila!

No rush. I don't run my BMC filter and it's listed in my signature. I might try it out again someday if I'm racing on a track but I don't think it makes enough difference to use all the time.

I've seen that and it does look cool but I'll bet the smaller bikes have a bit more room under there with a higher rear suspension. IDK if you'll be able to take a stif bump especially with that undertail. It probably would not damage the plate but it could f up your sexy undertail. Quite a hassle to compress the rear shock all the way to measure clearance but that's the only sure way...or stick something under there like a couple chunks of foam insulation and see if that gets rubbed. That would be cool looking though. If the cops are tough by you, they might stop you for not properly displaying the plate though. I've had no problems running around with mods here or in Milwaukee. I doubt they will even bother about the NOS bottles....unless I get busted using them maybe....which aint gonna happen!

I assumed you had cool po po up there if you were running those SUPERBIKE slicks around town.
On matters such as your Cannon likely barking pretty loud; well plenty of the law dawgs 'round these parts are Harley types and many of the v-twin crowd is all about straight pipes and "loud pipes save lives" I am guessing the same is true even farther up the frozen North...? You might be spot on with the limited room thinking, the fella @ the gym was on a Cbrr 1000 and he did have the plate custom contoured as I recall. My ProBolt sickness rose up again today w a merciful sub $50 order. Sheesh, I need help. Big weekend coming with new seat, undertail install, suspension dialing, (thank you CRUDE), and spark plug swap. Should be super satisfying wrench fest!
I did secure a 5x8 single axle trailer that tips back- a long list of upgrades and the Pitbull trailer restraint await the final decking. Gonna take on fabbing a roll on chock for the front tire
With this as my model:

Now Milwaukee, they have a lot more important things to worry about in town. I heard guys racing for literally hours one night. The expressway can be risky for cops just because of the speeds we can reach in short distances but they don't like to make traffic stops for normal fast like 70 mph. Too dangerous for everyone.

Hey mister, where did you procure those aluminum sleeves used around the bolts on your muffler hanger?

Hardware stores often carry aluminum tube where one diameter will slide into the next like a telescoping antenna. Buy a few diameters, cut to length and JB-Weld them together. No threads but that won't matter as long as the ID fits the bolt thread pretty close. Probably cheaper and easier and better to just order but if you are in a hurry, probably work just fine. The threaded collars work perfectly and no hassle. If you have an M8 tap, that might work too if you hold a piece of small aluminum pipe between two pieces of wood that have a hole drilled to fit the OD of the tube. Then, file and sand the OD down to whatever OD you need. Lots of work for something that's already done but again, if you don't want to wait two weeks...
Maybe you could call PB and ask to add to your order you just placed. I'v talked to the guy on the phone before.

Gen2 exhaust bracket mounts are m8. I went with countersunk washers on the left side and i cant run a cool washer on the bracket side as m8 washers wont fit in the bungs. Thats cool as the gold bolt inside the black bung works for me. Thank you for the alum sleeve link. Cant believe I hadnt seen those yet. Now the front caliper mount bolts in gold/ titanium/ race drilled/ 75mm long are about $20 ea! I am waiting to pull the trigger on these as the 320mm rotors might require an even longer bolt..? The bolts that came in the Brembo spacer kit are 75mm long but I assume those are meant to adapt the Brembo calipers to the stock 310mm rotors. We'll see soon enough.
On the spark plug tip- yep, my gen2 has no tool kit. Am looking at a cool Motion Pro spark plug socket.. looks extra long and hopefully its magnetic. Watched a youtube vid where a magnet looked like the hot ticket. What size is the zx14 plug? 18mm? Now the trailer quest; just bought this super simple/ light 5x8 tip back style trailer, now yesterday I bought an enclosed trailer body and frame only w/o axle. So, hopefully I can marry the two and have a real track day trailer setup! Not going to be the tip top dollar looking setup but hey, keeping the rocket safe and clean matters most. Fingers crossed. I am pulling for you on the ins ticket. Hope that works out well for you and the job quest. Have you heard of redbubble? A site that I bought all my vinyl stickers used on the chopper tanks. I mention it because the site appears to be a place where individual artists market their work. Might be interesting to look into how exactly it works. T-shirts, posters, stickers, etc. all I bought had credit to the artist that rendered the image...

I don't think I've ever touched the spark plug socket in my bike's toolkit, I just use the small spark plug socket in my regular toolkit with an extension for the ratchet, I think a 3" extension would be perfect. I slide the socket in first, then connect the extension to the socket that is already in the engine then pop the ratchet on and go to town.
After the plug is loose I remove the ratchet, then the extension then pull the socket out, grab my handy "mechanic's" magnet (see below) to pull the spark plug out. It sounds harder than it is and not sure what size the spark plug socket actually is, there are only 2 sizes in my kit that have fit every engine I have ever worked on.

Thanks Nightmare and Piken!! Yep I have a couple handy dandy magnets like that; rigid telescoping and a flexible job. Moving forward unafraid!

The stock bolts worked with 5 mm spacers required for 320mm rotors. I think I ordered the same length as stock in Ti in tapered head cap. I guess going 5 mm longer would be wise since they get torqued and you don't want to stretch the threads by torquing too few threads. There is probably at least 15 mm of thread that engages however so give or take 5 mm probably doesn't matter much.

Magnetic doesn't matter. The rubber insert holds the plug. Now if you drop something in there, then a magnet tool is the thing to use or a grabber tool. I have a flexible shaft magnet tool that works well but the magnet is so strong it sticks to things I don't want it to.
Fingers crossed. I am pulling for you on the ins ticket. Hope that works out well for you and the job quest. Have you heard of redbubble?
Thanks, Mike. I'm pretty sure it will be ok.
I have heard of an organization like redbubble or maybe that was it I heard about a few years back. I've started looking at doing commissioned work through upwork and other online sites. You can almost bet there are mostly BS fees being offered. I saw some people offering $25-$50 on upwork and the sad reality of my former profession is that there are a lot of talented artists willing to work for that just to get paid something (and credit to the artist can be a sign that they got paid shite such as is usually the case with book and magazine publishing). No business person can last long like that but there is a steady stream of newbies. It's like the freshman girls waiting to spread their legs for the frat boys. Here today, gone tomorrow and another waiting to step up. I did it 11 years. I'd like to do it again but if I do, I'll only do it if it's profitable.

Sweet pic! 40% lighter. LOVES me some Titanium! (other than that's about $80 worth of bolts in that pic, HAH)
Man I prefer the look of the tapered head as well. As opposed to the race drilled flanged head look. I am choosing the latter on fasteners where I see a track some day requiring safety wire. Yes I talked to PB guy the other day. Clearly he is a Brit or Limey of some sort. Noticed on their fb page (like the page and get more store credits) that the town was Tewkesbury or something near that. Has to be English, or Welsh. That would explain the shipping delay if shipping from across the pond. The zx14 listing in their bike selector is a zzx14 as well, Euro baby.
With the wheels and rotors coming, the next pb order will be those caliper and rotor bolts. Cha ching.

Right! Confuses me as well. I definately read some SBK or Moto GP RIDER set ups and they ran similar set ups.

WOW! NICE!! That IS a gem! I see a load of Ti bolts for that!
I plan to go with some aluminum bolts on my damper. In fact, I would probably go with aluminum on brake calipers since they are big bolts and mounted radially. Probably clipon and handlebar bolts too. Risky but I'd try it. Lower torque and check often.

Rookster, not sure you should swap the steel Caliper mounting bolts for AL. The entire braking load transfers through that bolted joint in a shear load. Al shear capability is significantly less than steel. I wouldn't risk that for that small weight savings unless you are replacing the AL bolts after each track or hard braking session. Maybe Titanium but not AL.
Stay safe UP brother

Yes, too late for me. My last order from ProBolt was the gold m10 x 75mm race drilled TITANIUM caliper bolts and the gold Ti rotor bolts for the Braketech Axis Iron 320mm rotors. I am just under $500 dollars down the rabbit hole.
Oy vey. I took those 3/4" bar risers off and am lowering the triple trees just a smidge this weekend.
