The guy needed his chopper for some measuring, came over and now here, finally; comes a set of 15° throttle bodies with ZX-10 injectors of same year. Where is privateer? Here is where I find out if ninja's '06 ECU and a re-set of the throttle body - Will assfactor the tune or I need the piggy toggled = It's set too lean is the fpm (flow per minute).

This t-body runs without sub-rod being in the way of the suck. That is as max as you can get short of pulling air cleaner off and still, she hammers on...

Ando I remain the obnoxious, explain how Brock cried lean and did he know tuning bike since 1999 what Ivan was up to? That to me are points away from Brock, we dunt need no stink'inn race track is all brain trust. LOL

Hi guys,
Just an update. The bike is finally completely back together aqfter my accident. Been waiting on those damn carbon fibre yoshi pipes. Finally arrived and fitted yesterday.

Last night I took the flies out, only stripped one which needed the dremel treatment. Then installed the power commander.

Just got back from the local dyno after my custom map complete, bike runs great, lot more smooth through torque range, still a slight jump around 4500rpm but nowhere near like it was. Power seems from start to finish now as it should be.

Thanks for the advice and guidance one and all.

I pulled mine and with a PCIII it was a different machine, but, there was almost too much torque down low; too easy to spin the tire, and leaned over I just had to remember to twist and not twist, in the rain, it was really dicey. Plus, mpg went in the toilet.

I reinstalled 'em to gain mpg, remapped the PCIII and there is a much deferred down-low dead spot as before when stock. So, I'm back to near stock, got my 34.8 avg mpg, and 140 miles to a tank back. And, the rush of continued acceleration as I shift; a true joy to experience, grab the next gear and it accelerates harder, THAT is a rush!

Yeah, I'm a woos, I don't care, Hell, I'm even going to put bags on it. I've been there, done that, race, track days, mx, enduros, but frankly like it the way it is right now.

Can't say anything about issues; these are strong engines; just change the oil, good gas, etc, you likely can get 100K miles out of it!

You're not a wuss Donny, it's horses for courses. I've definitely got a bit more low end torque but not like twist and spin tire, you still have to want to launch to make that happen. With the custom map it is very ridable still around the street but when I accelertate it pulls through the entire rev range. Far more predicable. Haven't done enough hard riding yet to get a guage on change to fuel economy, but I didn;t buy this bike to be a greenie and care about the environment or my hip pocket.

All the best

true about the economics of a 14, I get it, but, I was getting 22 mpg, I like 34 better! :)

22 mpg?Sheesh...."that aint right"...SOMEONE tuned yer "flies out" configuration WAY WRONG.What gearing are you using?28 mpg is the lowest I've ever had the displeasure of seeing...and that was because my adjustable timing wheel had loosened up and was going KooKoo.I've got 42,000+ miles on my "flies out",PC III Jeffo Mapped engine. My mileage is between 36 and 38...depending on if I get in it,or cruise. That's with 16/43 gearing. It would be even higher if I went back to stock gearing.22?It's a wonder yer plugs are still functioning!

My baby never twitches either.Throttle feel is way easy to control. That's also with the Rifleman's 1/5th throttle mod. It's just right for me.Plenty of kick thrust, and smooth throttle feel with fast azz acceleration. No engine issues at all.Smooth(even moreso) than he first day I rode er.

Mmm. The SA models must be the same as Blue07's, cause I get 240km comfortable on a tank, two up. Can push it more, but have to keep the speed down to below 140km/h. Not sure what that is in MPG, but it is not much worse than stock, and I have had two ZX14,s. I think that works out to about 34 or so US miles per gallon, and that is average use, spirited riding with no stop/start, as I do not ride her in town.

Mine must be getting around the same as blue's too. Took it for it's first big run since modded and gave it abit testing out the new low end smooth torque and did 320km on a tank and there was probably still a litre or so of fuel left in her. In all very happy with improved performance with not a noticable change in economy.

I've checked mine with mixed riding including in town and "spirited" twisty action, and have pulled down 35.4 mpg on average.

And the miles are now?

Am I to understand that you have zip for play at the throttle and an even more ripper of a gripper of a twist-kit, all without a PC or another piggy types to trim fuel, right?

I have about 16,000 on her now and she runs great! plulling the flies is not going to hurt anything. But I did for get to add that I do have a PC5 and TRE set at no flies and a Bonnie Pro set at 10%.

Here is primitive limp:

Hi, my name is VOES. I am a, 'variable operating electronic sensor.'
I'm just a one hit wonder from space.
Yes, I believe I am just a trickle down thought from the space/auto connection is connected to Delphi, the GM branch of the electrics side like Harley uses Delphi, as Kawi uses Mikuni.
And you follow that tiny trail as it says, "Say, you wanna check to she how I work?"
She like sets a limp to save the ol' gal.
Slow you say, sure, show me.
Said the little bear to the big bare feet as she creeps into safe timing 'retard' mode.
She said, she said.

Waste your spark we hit the load mode. In other words, WOT ever you do, it's slow safe, go right ahead...
