Well I finally went straight to the source and called Kawasaki USA customer Service and had them run the jack P/N. They were not able to give specifics of the adapters that came with the jack other than to say it is a universal type jack and were at a loss to explain why there are no detailed jacking instructions in the service manual for any of these bikes.

The customer support rep even suggested I could do better by going to Sears and buying a motorcycle jack, much cheaper she said....lol!

Apparently Kawasaki does not take jacking up their motorcycles very seriously so neither will I. I'm going to buy a $39 floor jack I saw a WalMart and use a block of wood under the headers like everyone else seems to be doing.

Cheers!

BTW, this is one of those times it would be good if we had Hub around to offer his sage advice........BG?

I'm not HUB...but if you TRY to jack your bike up with a wood/floor jack...you are REALLY risking a fallover. You need something to HOLD the bike vertical...a wheel clamp.Rear stands won't do it...the bike can easily tip right out of the spools. That 4 inch or so lift to get that front off the ground becomes...4 feet.....especially when you start wrenching and the bike starts moving on ya.there ya go!Floor jack under the header...just for support. My only question with that stand is...how do you get the bike vertical enough to get the pivots into the holes safely?

From a thread in the "Off Topic" section:

He can come back if he will stop attacking others with hateful messages and running the new guys off. I will need to hear from him that he agrees to that, and I don't really expect to. I imagine he's pretty upset with me. I haven't had any communication from/with him since he's been gone. He can use the "Contact Us" form if he wants to come back.

We are really missing his technical expertise, but I sure don't miss the rest... -bg

The Heindl is the same price as the Kawi stand but pivots off the rear swing arm bolts. You still need to jack the front engine case or headers to get the front end up, see photo.

I have this stand and have always highly recommended it for the 14. The front will be light enough that you could lift it by hand with a little effort. 250 pound teeter totter. If yoiu are going to support the bike under the oil pan, this is the stand to do it with. A lot less levverage against the pan than a rear spool stand.

You pay for shipping, you can borrow mine, Kruz.

My only question with that stand is...how do you get the bike vertical enough to get the pivots into the holes safely?

The stand comes in two pieces. You fit the pins into the swingarm holes while the bike rests on its side stand. Then join the sides of the Heindl and lift the bike off the sidestand. Lift away. Very easy one persin lift.

Ha ha, found a 2 ton floor jack at Wally world for $22. Glued a 1/2 inch thick hard rubber pad to a 1"x4" wood block to act as a jack pad. It should lift the bike fine by the front header and the rear wheel stand.
