RuffRyda; I'm not saying B.S., but cops run your plate BEFORE they get out of the car.
Even if he runs the plate where is his proof that you were the one riding after he lost you during the so-called pursuit?
I've smoked my fair share of cops over the past 20 years and I have never had a problem, I'm not talking about what I heard I'm talking about what I've done.
I've blasted past stationary State Police at night while running triple digits, the Trooper casually flashed his code lights and I slowed down, no problem but some of these local yokels wanna be a cowboy, there ain't no way he is gonna catch me from a standstill while I'm at speed, you don't have to endanger the public neither because you have plenty of time to get off the road and watch the copper go sailing by on his wild goose chase.
Now I'm not talking during daylight rush hour traffic because that would be crazy, I only get down on my trusty steeds at night or early A.M. when there is not much traffic on the interstate.
If ya got time here's another story:
A friend from work had purchased a new 'Boosa and wanted to go riding with me, he was a novice rider and I told him we would just do some spirited cruising around town and the interstate (I was on my 'Boosa also), well after a nice evening of riding we were gonna split up and head home, I waved bye and pulled a wheelie down the on ramp getting on the freeway and opened her up, when I looked in my mirror I saw flashing police lights way off in the distance so I figured they must have stopped the noob.
Well I decided to pull off at the next off ramp and wait for my comrade, so I'm sitting there with the kickstand down just chillin' when the Police car comes sreeching up behind me, needless to say this cop was PISSED, he told me that he was doing 130 mph and I walked away from him like he was in reverse (I figured this is not gonna end well), so I gave him my paperwork and kept my mouth shut, he starts looking at the bike and asks "WTF kinda bike is this", I told him and I asked him "If you were riding this do you think you could resist cracking on it on a open road", he said "That is why I don't ride those things" and walked back to his cruiser.
After about 20 minutes He came back, gave me my paperwork and told me to ride safe, we both laughed and I split.
