Not 1000 percent on getting all the air out from the calibers. For sum reason the hose wouldnt fit on tight like it did with the MC.
I will have pics up when i complete the job. I was thinking of going to a pet store and getting a smaller hose like one that i use for my aquarium..
Yes, I have noticed that the bleeds on my gen 1 are not all exactly the same O.D. I do use the same kind of tubing for all bleeds but the tubing will fall off of the smaller bleed after a while. ...yes, probably some air slips into the hose from outside the bleed but that is ok. All air is going right down the tube to the catch bottle anyway.
I have heard one person recommend using a small ziptie to synch the tube around the bottom of the nippple so that the hose will not fall off.
If you are concerned because you are seeing tiny bubbles come through the line after you have bled thoroughly, that is normal. There is always going to be a tiny stray bubble that gets in between the tube and the bleed. Those are from outside where the tube fits over the nipple, not from inside your brake system. If you've bled thoroughly and tapped on all the lines and everything and bled again, you are prolly all done as long as the lever feels hard.
But practice makes perfect. I'll almost bet you have a lot more fresh fluid than you need. No reason to not use it because you really shouldn't use it after it has been stored for any length of time. (I have but that is a no-no)
just snug enough to close them off while you bleed. when done, be careful torquing the bleeds. the torque spec is really just "snug." 2.5-3 ft lbs or something like that. Wash the bleeds down with water after you have them torqued and the reservoir cap is installed. the painted part of the MC is not impervious to brake fluid so wash every trace away.
use a bit of blue locktight on the reservoir cap retainer screw. those little devils vibrate out and cost about $5 for a new one.
