Mass there are some very quik bikes on this site,Slow ninja, plus Hub is very knowledgable,I've known Lang Hindle since before the Z1 came out.I think we should start a build a 200 MPH 14 thread.200 horse out of a 14 should be affordable. If a piped PC 14 can put out 181 to 185 horse surely we could find another15 to 20 HP without motor work.I'll talk to Lang and see what he thinks

2012 14R,full hindle Evolution ,vortex rear sets,BST's with ceramic bearings,HID's,hyper pro damper and custom map 205.3 hp/120.2 torque

+7% is what I have always heard for the 14. A 120/55 tire seems to correct it to pretty nearly dead on accurate. I haven't felt my bike ever stop pulling. I've always given up before it did.

An honest 180 seems to be about all I'm willing to do for now. I still want to go faster tho, just need to find the right road, and tell that wrist to keep twisting when it wants to back off lol. The 14's speedo is way off (reads crazy high) at higher speeds, don't believe it. GPS is your friend for high speed runs

Rook,I did 281kph as per GPS on the Radisson hwy in northern Quebec

175 mph! Sweet. I'm waiting until the day that I top out the speedo before I check it against GPS. I don't want to know how slow I went yet! 170 mph indicated is insane speed for me right now.

I have ridden various bikes physically off road ON the salt whenever I have passed through Utah over the years, blindingly bright, hotter than is comfortable, and sort of a roughish squirmy surface, nothing like smooth pavement,

Sounds a little dangerous and maybe even a bit hard to plow through. Would be a lot more of a challenge than places like the Texas mile. Is there any advantage to running the salt flats over an asphalt course?

I know BadinBlack up there a couple posts has used a Speedohealer to bypass the speed limiter on his busa. He also had a SH on his 14. I haven't had need to bypass my speed limiter yet.

I calculated the percentage on my 06 to be way off. I however don't remember the number now. I used a gps instead of the speedo because it was way off. Plus one in the front and down two in the back didn't help. Anyways, the fastest I had that bike was 176 GPS and off the numbers on the dash.

I was just wondering if it was worth the extra money over the speedo-healer.... Is this one still plug and play?

Bonneville PRO ZX-14
Congratulations on your purchase of the Bonneville PRO. This unit has been designed specifically for the ZX-14 to allow accurate recalibration of the speedometer and remove the top speed limiter at the same time.
Features: Speedometer recalibration +/-50% of original signal. Provides wide adjustment range for drag racing and
top speed applications. Speed Limiter Adjust - When active, the factory speed limit of 186mph is removed.
Dual signal output - The speedometer will always read the proper recalibrated speed regardless of whether the speed limit adjustment is active.
Very easy to use - No buttons to push or settings to recalibrate. Simply set the speedometer recalibration dials and choose whether the speed limit adjust is on or off.
NOTE: The Bonneville PRO is for closed course racing applications only.
Installation:
1. Locate the Bonneville PRO in the rear trunk area. Secure with double sided tape or Velcro®.
2. Route long part of the harness forward along the left side of the bike. Locate and unplug the stock speed sensor plug. Plug the Bonneville PRO in line of the speed sensor by connecting the male and female connectors to the stock speed sensor plug.
3. Locate the Blue/Yellow wire coming out of the left side of the ECU (This wire is on the top row about six wires in from the left). Cut this wire about 2 inches from the ECU.
4. Crimp the provided female bullet connector on the Blue/Yellow wire that goes forward toward the speedometer.
5. Crimp the male bullet connector on the Blue/Yellow wire that goes to the ECU.
4. Plug the Blue and Green wires from the Bonneville PRO into the corresponding bullet connectors that you just installed. (The Green wire should be connected to wire going toward the speedometer and the Blue wire should be connected to the wire going into the ECU)

Laverda 1200,

Paul,
I live in Calgary as well, and have ran my zx14 WFO many many times before the turbo build started, with speedo healer, stock gears, modified gears, SMEG pipe, with nitrous and without.

We should get together some time.
I just asked BG to enable my PM's

The PMs work differently here than you're probably used to. When somebody sends you one, it goes to you by email - to the email address you used when you set up your account. They aren't saved or stored or read on the site. -bg
