here's the latest. I tried the orange pinstripe. I'm not wild about it. It seems likeits almost not there but when I see it, it doesn't do much for me. The white fins are okay in all white. Dark blue (you see down in the lower right margin) might be the best choice or just leave them as is. I like the hugger in orange. In black, it really is just a nuance which is fine. Still need to ad the NOS and a few other details but I'm waiting til I get the overall scheme ironed out.

Here's the latest. As much as like the orange hugger in this view, I think I will eventually go with a dark blue like I plan for the front fender. I can't see having one color for the front and the other for the rear. Maybe just a flat black for the hugger and dark blue for the top of the front fender.

Something about that orange fender and case....IDK....kinda interferes with the darkish main color....Fins look good like that....She's personal and gorgeous.....a bike to be proud of;)Way to go Rookster!

I like a lot of features of your bike - stripes, gold calipers, and small details around the wheels. My 2 cents... to paint rear sprocket gold to match calipers, tail hugger black, clutch engine cover black. The touches of gold around the gear shift sensor are nice. The windscreen would look nice in smoked or clear, and the fins in black. In looking at the bike in sections, the mods you illustrated in photoshop look nice, however my style sense points toward simplification when viewed as a whole.

My 2 cents... to paint rear sprocket gold to match calipers, tail hugger black, clutch engine cover black.

I may well get a gold anodized sprocket some day. I be it would cost nearly as much to have this one anodized in gold + I'm sure I'd have to sand away the powder coated grey finish that is under the orange paint I applied. Gold paint is a low cost option to anodized parts but for larger items, it doesn't cut it compared to the look of the real anodized bits. I may try imitation gold leaf on the rear brake master cylinder.

Yeah, I'm really starting to question that blue windscreen now. Clear or the slight tint of a stock windscreen is good for a black bike, to me. I sort of expect a windscreen to look like a window and if it is black, it just looks like a body panel on a black bike.

That's the direction I'm taking on the busa but the 14 is going to be garish while hopefully not appearing to be a random mixed bag.

Like the blue tint windscreen; it picks up the wheel color. Hate the orange, though. Oh, well. Cheers!

Thanks. orange IS a forbidden color. you either like it or hate it.

windscreen is easy to switch any time I feel like it. The orange covers stay, though. Gotta have my orange covers.
