BG, can they check the alignment with the bike assembled or does it have to be stripped to the bare frame?
Sorry, I can't help you there. You might want to give them a call and ask. I've not used them myself, but the racers I know have talked highly of them. -bg

He didn't sell the 10r and I certainly don't wish for anybody to crash their bike.
Kruz, this is what my 750 had done to it last time at GMD Computrack Boston.
I mangled it all up and just dropped it off to them. This also doesn't involve any replacement parts
(I think just sliders and engine mounting bolts):

The bends in the neck of the frame, forks, swingarm etc. could be so subtle that only these guys can properly measure and correct it. It's either that or a "new" frame from eBay... with the rest of the oem replacement parts.
GMD resurrects most of the bikes that go down at the tracks around the country. I've had 3 different bikes straightened out by them (the 750 twice now...) and the bikes are back to being "on rails".
Don't buy into the bs that if a bike goes down it's never the same again, it just needs to be attended to appropriately. If it's "in your head", then maybe move on but never take such losses. $3K is what you can get for your motor, Akra exhaust and pcV alone.
Hope this helps

I know the chassis place in Sacramento said I did not need to tear-down bike years ago. I think they were compu track but wouldn't swear to it.
If you decide to try and do something with Louis Motorsports, I believe old friend I grew up with is friends with the owner. He may be able to get ya a better deal. Just a thought. I'd be willing to find out for ya.

Sorry to disappoint anyone but I folded my hand and cashed in my chips, 1Bad's got him a sweet new ride. Last I heard he straightened out the front end, put all the plastics back on and was tearing up the back roads on it. He's decided it's a keeper.....bully for him I say, I hope he gets a lot of enjoyment out of it.
Anyway, I'm one of those that can't get it out of my head, there'd always be some bad mojo connected with that bike....better to move on. The Good Lord will provide another 10R, that I'm sure of. I already have my eye on a new '10 Special Edition in the Green/Black/White scheme.

Zxinit, Louis Powersports is where I'm looking, they're a volume dealer and looking to deal. If you can hook me up, let me know.

Some times you just gotta move on... Huh, Kruz? I get that. Lost my fare share of cash on toys when I was done playing with them.
Screw the 2010 though... Get the 2011... or coughgettheBeemercoughcough.

to those that think these zx10's bring big money ..
peoples can ask whatever they want for something .. but what it sells for is another thing ..
this bike has been advertized on the internet for 2 years with the same price
3000.00 for bike 1500.00 on plastics & braces & covers (no i don't buy 600.00 chinese fairing junk) trip to dallas 500.00 (9 hr's driving ) .. 5,000.00 and thats before i spend two days pulling and replacing fairings .. or i can go get a mint 1 for 6,000.00 and not work on it .. mama didn't raise no fool here ..
i enjoyed the bike today kruz .. i put it all back with the broken fairings with zip ties and push rivets .. i'm gonna keep it for a while and hope to catch some deals on fairings this winter ..250miles on it today front end perfect now and i replaced the fork seals .. it lost alot of power when i pulled the AKRO pipe ..no more power wheelies in 2nd gear .. but i don't care .. i have a race bike and the zx10 is not gonna become a race bike.. that seat got to go my ass is killing me ..

Sounds like you're having fun on that thing. Hey, I know I Could have made a lot more money parting it out but I.'m not an EBay trader, I washed my hands of it and walked away. I did the math, to put it back where I'd be happy, I could buy one off Craigs List. So it's all good, there'll be another.

He is sending a 2011 your way, maybe. I would almost go halfs with ya on that.

It's time to clean house, aint it? I would consider selling the CBR and the 6r since they will become obsolete with a new ZX-10 in the garage. Go for a black '11. Flash ECU and you will be tops for the next 3-4 years. OK, it isn't as pretty as the old 10 or the 6 but how much time will sopend looking at the bike? (Forget I asked that---just buy a new 10).

The dealer I bought my zx14 from (Roundy's, Spokane WA) said they sell me a leftover '08 10r for $7500 OTD. Aparently they have trouble getting sportbikes off of the floor.

$7500 OTD!!!!! I'd be all over that thing like a cheap suit Dogo! That's brand new? As 1Bad will tell ya, these are very nice bikes. If I could do it again I would buy the '08 Zx-10R all over again over the '08 CBR 1000RR Honda, just a better quality feel to it and it's got that edgy trademark handliing that ZX-10Rs are known for.

Maybe there but not around here Dogo, my dealer is sold out of '08, '09 and '10 ZX-10Rs. '11s are the only thing left and they will be discounted this time next year.

Brand spankin'... I just couldn't pull the trigger since I already have an '05... Love my gen 1 zx10r.

The dealer, I'm talking about, didn't even order any 2011 zx10r's... I'm bummed... that means no leftovers.
Actually, don't be surprised if I have an '08 10r in my stable soon... My buddy, that has one, ended up passing on buying your old PC and Akra from 1bad, when it came time to cough up the dough... I know he has the cash, so I'm thinkin' he's ready to get rid of his bike. He barely rides it... 2200 on the odo.

well kruz i can tell you for a fact a stock 08 zx10 is faster than a semi stock 05 zx10 with -1 front and +1 back and slip-on exhaust with a 90lb lighter rider on it.. my fat ass pulled him on top of every gear and walk away ..
