HEY kruz just to lighten things up mate in 03 I bought my blue blackbird new, it was only a couple of weeks old, anyway I had it outside the roller door behind my wifes Corolla, I was putting up an above ground pool,,she got my lad to lift the roller door !and just reversed out bumping my bird off it's sidestand, I thought by the sound it was her side mirror no shit my new bike was on the ground, she wound her window up and locked the car and wouldn't come out,and I still can not belive that I ran out and picked it up by myself !!! took me some time to look back and see the not so funny side of that!LIKE I mentioned buddy some day the hurt will go

Thanks BeanMeister, I did take the old girl out of the garage earlier this morning and took the first good long look since it happened and the damage is actually very light.... nothing like the first time. I have a tiny scuff mark on the clutch lever end and bar end and light scuff mark on the lower cowl. The mirror is toast though and will have to be replaced and thats about a $150. Rook suggested spraying the lower cowl with satin clearcoat which should fill in the scuff mark and bring the gloss level up to match the right one which is brand new and a bit shiny. The bar end and lever end get a touch of gloss black from one of those paint pens you can buy at the auotparts store and you'll never know this big bird was ever on it's side.
