My cards are down, my chips are all gone. I'm sitting at the table watching in silence. I'm out of $$$. Sure like seeing what you are up to with your bike, drag. Brembo calipers now?? Just remeindsme, there is no end. Just when I thought I head everything I ever would put on my bike (except NOS) , you have to bring up Brembos.

Nah I'm sure you have a little stash somewhere Rook! LOL
Start with the RCS 19 you will notice a difference!
I really tried to resist getting the Brembos but performance mods like that are so rare on Hypers, I had to get them. The black edition ones are $300 cheaper but I had to go with the Nickel Plated ones. Anyways all those mods were going to the BMW but since I changed my mind... the 14 has been paid off for a while so she first in line! Most of those parts, fit different bikes so I can always switch things up down the line.
@Green: My philosophy: My 14 got knocked by cars twice on parking lots, once at Barnes and Nobles and another time at the Gym and I was taking it easy when I high sided. So if I have to go down, why not celebrate every minutes to the max. Which means no compromise when riding or modding . You can't ride slow with the mods I'm getting.
Funny you mentioned because I told the wife the other day, I was going to key my track bike as soon as I bring it home. I think it will set the tone and remind me track or performance riding is not about pretty!

I just realised it is $1500 EACH for those rotors and another $1640 EACH for the calipers.
Then BSTs and the master cylinder, add a few ceramic bearings, titanium bolts....
Did you crash your bike into a bank vault or win lottery or find a leprechaun ?
Bmmer might I've been cheaper...

Drag your making my right eye twitch! LOL holy crap I'm in trouble now.....I was just saying that my front Galfer Super Bike rotors feel a little warped....kinda like my brain. But......I'm going to have to look into them for sure. Even if I did go with the 14R at the end of the season I could still swap it all over....

Grn14 I ride my girl everywhere...I've been all over the place. I ride in the rain, cold whatever. I'm good for about 10,000 miles per year....I've gotten to take her to the tail of the dragon twice, LSA Top Speed Events, Track days and even to Quebec City and Nova Scotia! These ladies need to be ridden! It's very common for us to get up at 2:00AM and head out at 3:00AM ride till 7:00PM and find our self’s in North Carolina in the morning. LOL

Thats a deal Romans!!! That was the very best ride I've ever had for real! And I've been pretty lucky to go a lot of places.....I got out to ride my girl yesterday it s 38 out but with the heated gear is was still fun. My buddy and I are looking at heading to GA in two weeks....Its time I have to hit the road bad. Between work and all of the normal crap life throws at you I need to decompress! I'm still at the office now but I can tell you when I get home it will be time to look at some bike porn thanks to Drag! LOL

You guys are all killing me with your mods. I'm glad Spring is on it's way cuz if I ride I have no time to wrench. It sure is cool to see what all you guys do. Can't forget to thank everyone for paving the way. My modding philosophy has always been to pretty much follow the crowd. Makes decisions a lot quicker. So thanks for all the research everyone does and then for generously passing on the info.

I feel the same way Rook, when I'm on the bike I don't feel like it needs anything, Those cold days or mishaps is what gets you. I'm so impatient with riding and I knew the bike would have to be down for a while so modding is the best therapy. Even when I'm in the car, I try to see where I would let go off the brake and start to get on the throttle, I even make sounds LOL Pathetic.

Drag they certainly do look damn sexy for sure! I’d love to have a set! I think I’d have to go with the Brembos like you did first though because I think there is a better weight reduction per dollar there for sure. I was told that doing the rear along with the bracket was also a huge savings. If I don’t decide to get the 14R at the end of this season I will be doing the same as you…..By the end of this season I hope to have 40,000 miles on my sexy lady…..
Yeah getting back out on the bike felt so damn good even know it was like 38 degrees it was still fun….Don’t get me wrong not like when its 75 and sunny out and the tires are just coming up to temp and things are just flowing as you transition from that everyday normal guy to the bad ass street Ninja on the loose just dying to carve up the twisties! But it was fun for sure…..I always go easy the first month or so just to get back in the groove of things.

Somefun, I actually think the rotors are a better weight saving than the Brembo. Calipers are static weight. To be honest, I don't even know what the OEM Nissin weigh. The GP4RX look so good so that when I saw they weighed 1000 grams, I was like here my excuse, I need to have them LOL. Plus I'm tired of the Ducati and Aprilia getting all the love, we can have shiny parts to LOL. Plus those don't come standard on any bike that I know of and the mass production Brembo stuff is a waste of $$. My plan is to up the bike performance in the corners, the closest I can get to a liter performances, the better, then up my skills so that I can blow by most of the average liter rider out there.
Rook has been expecting some numbers and I received a track number for another batch of my mods. I will weigh the Brembos versus the Nissin when I get them on friday. I will also weight the BST's.
You will save weight with the rear caliper mod but again, it's static weight...Furthermore, it is real close to where the power comes from (rear wheel) so I don't think your 14 will notice a difference. If you're thinking about LSR, the only thing that are going to matter are the gearing, strapping the front and what direction the wind is blowing. I'm planning to ask Brock's to send me is MR12 map and get it tweaked on the dyno with the reflash I should be seeing 189hp. I'm going to need a map switch and a hub for the PCV. I've gotta start looking for a Lightening/Thunder decal that will indicate the switch position for MR12 fuel LOL That switch seating next to the Brembo MC. Now that is going to look awesome LOL
Do you have a race fuel map?. You should also get an MPS shifter and just have it on during LSR (I love shifting manually)
I wouldn't worry about getting a few parts for the 14 if I were you since you can transfer most to the 14R. I'm really anxious to hear how you like the 14R. With the power your packing and your weight, I bet you will be transferring the parts within a week. The bike are too close. You're going to love the refinement but performance wise...

Yeah I’m thinking I might do it at the end of the season if I pass the goal of 200+ but then again I may not on the fence about it. The only thing I would be getting is the TC/ABS. Mine is lighter and I’m sure faster making 206HP at the rear wheel. Yeah I love track days for sure! I have to tell you I’ve been riding a long time and consider myself a pretty good rider and man does my baby surprise a whole lot of guys on the track! I love passing that guy that has the $1,400.00 racing leathers on the $25,000.00 Ducati or BMW. As I get closer and closer I start to smile just waiting for my opportunity to pass the guy…..And a lot of times I wait for the turn and out brake him or come in on the inside and hammer past him! Too many guys say well you should pass him on the straight away so you gotta wait for the turn and laugh while you blow on by.
I don’t have two maps yet but will be setting up a second one for the NOS. I’m going to hook it in to the horn switch so when I push the horn it lights up the map and the NOS. I Drag I talked to Power Commander and they said you don’t need a hub to switch back and forth if that’s what you were thinking of doing. They said all you need to do is have a switch that will connect the two ports on the PCV when you switch it. That will light up the second map.

You should be getting to 200 without the NOS. Also consider an MRA double Bubble screen. It is really good at high speed. MRA claims that the shape helps compress the front end! I loved mine (blew up to smithereens when I high sided) . You certainly have the power, the issue could be aerodynamics. I would get on Brock's Website and check both 14 diaries to see where the discrepancies are. I'm running Motul 300 and Petron Additive right now but when I'm ready for the Texas Mile I'm planning on replacing the motul with 0 weight oil. I don't know if it's recommended with your compression but look into that. Also I do not think that $70 worth of Spark Plugs will make a difference but the Brisk I uploaded above are recommended for modified engines. "Good luck and Go Fast" LOL

Dragking I was starting to feel a little guilty for the cash I've dropped on my bike this off season. My winter mods so far, ohlins rear shock, ohlins front forks, valve check and adjust with new gaskets, zero gravity double bubble, supersprox rear sprocket, new oem front sprocket, EK 530zzz chain(gold bling),brembo 19rcs and 16rcs, galfer stainless brake and clutch lines, plus the normal maintenance bs... Anyway after reading your thread I feel a little better...and jealous. Damn it now I need new wheels, think my wife would believe me if I told her my wheels have been stolen and the new ones cost 4k?

*I have been thinking about the forks a lot. That UPS brown doesn't match at all. I don't know why Kawi did that.
I'm actually after the ZX-14R Ohlins fork. They come in 30mm and my suspension guy is doing is homework to see if they can be fitted to the 14! I'm thinking with upgrade in brake power I'm getting 30mm is almost a must!
Post some pics of you ride, I'll love to see you set up. Just when I thought I was going to be the only 14 owner on this forum with the Brembo treatment LOL

Do you just plug the OEM wire into the Brembo micro switch or do you have to splice the wires? And is it the same for the clutch?
You have to splice the micro switch for the brake and install a banjo pressure switch and splice that into the clutch safety switch. Not sure what your doing for reservoirs but the stock ones won't work, they use different size tubing. I got the brembo reservoirs, there alright but nothing special. As far as pics go I'll get some posted soon, all my plastics are off right now. Just finishing up the valves, should have it back together this weekend.

Yeah I heard stories about people trying to make do with clamps and spray brake fluid everywhere. It's too bad because I love my rizomas but I already sold the brake reservoir and the OEM Clutch MC along with it. I wish you could just plug the cable into the OEM switch but as long as the install is clean, I'm good with that.

Interesting fact: I weighted the GP4RX and they are 150 grams heavier than the Nissin! The Nissin are awesome but I'm anxious to see how the GP4RX will perform but because I'm installing the RCS19 and changing from Goodridge to Spielger line it will be hard to tell the difference objectively. Regardless braking will be improved.
