Thanks Romans. What tires are you running and which have you tried?
I'm on my forth Rear and my 2nd front and I only have 12000KM. I am not the right guy to ask. I here that a 180 gives you more contact patch but I am not ready to change from stock set up. Bigger fatter would look cool but I'm not convinced It would make me any faster, soooooooo. It always going to be up to you. My group of friends is mixed. Some days it's 1/4 mile and ten minutes later were are in the corners so for me stock is perfect.
scottjkyl, show us a pic of the 200.

What tire size do you all recommend? I was thinking of going to the 190/55/17 for the rear.
I felt a big change going from the stock to a 190/55. Yes, the stock tire was in horrible shape by the time I changed it but I think it still served as a decent comparison. I immediately felt the bike fell into a lean much easier with the 190/55 tire. Also soon discovered I was wearing the tire closer to the edges. I had always heard the contact patch was wider on the 190/55 and it seems to be the case. It feels a lot surer cornering hard than the stocker.
I have my second 190/55 rear on the 14 and I plan to stay with that size for both bikes.

the 016's that come on bikes factory isn't the same 016 that you buy aftermarket. the factory ones are only a double compound rear, wereas the aftermarket ones are a triple!

Thanks all! Rook, which tire are you running?
I got a set of BT-016s just like the last set of tires. The front is double compound the back is triple. I chose the 190/55 size for the rear tire because that gives you a larger contact patch for cornering than a 190/50. They stick great for me in tight cornering. As long as the weather is 50 F+ and you have sunshine on dry, clean pavement, the 16s will stick very nicely. I keep my tires inflated pretty close to spec and they still stick pretty well for me.

As far as top speed-- that's just a figment of my imagination. The speed rating of the BT-016 is 160. That's a lot more than I need. I find myself doing some pretty ordinary speeds on the 14. There are JUST SO MANY POLICE out there looking for a ticket to write. Seems like there are more every summer. The thought of getting pulled over for shattering the speed limit scares the heck out of me so I play it cool.
